Hello friends. After my difficult experience I'd like to say that I've learned more about the Red chakra. You can see some practical tips about healing this one in my first post in this thread, but I'd like to outline what happened for me when it's almost dead.
* The world seems artificial - Yes, everything seemed like an illusion. There was nothing stable, no stable physical or mental state. Going up and down in mental/physical well-being, shifting from okay to utter despair. We humans (or me at least) like to return to a stable, quite static world, where things 'make sense'. If this does not exist as a polarity to complete freedom in the higher chakras, then you will find yourself to be lost.
To negate this I had to find and is still finding out what I define as 'real'. I go for long walks, to also calm and heal my stomach which took a large blow from all this, and I do physical things. Normally, I liked to sit around to and meditate/think a lot, but then I had a stable Red chakra. This is not so now. I look forward to do that later though.
* No sexual desire - There just isn't any. I think this is a very good notification that the Red ray is not stable. I had quite low sexual desire before, but now it's non-existent. My partner grows quite frustrated with this, displaying behaviours I've never seen. It's a difficult time for us both.
* Other chakras are suffering - this may be the most obvious notifier.. there is no love, no creativity, no sense of personal power/growth. And definitely no sense of divine connection with the universe, just confusion.
* Death being close - I had problems eating food, which is a fundamental prequisite to be in this existence. If not even survival-mode works fine, then you feel yourself to be fairly screwed. Add paranoia which for me manifested itself in a powerful STS entity placing bad thoughts in my head and you'll have suicidal thoughts in no time. Red ray whimpers and lies down in a corner to die.
This is now fairly gone thought. I still get flashbacks occasionally, but it's not a constant state of fear.
So, bottom line is, when your Red ray is suffering, try to remember and go back to that which is 'real' for you. Remember what you thought before, and know that is is a part of you and not a lie. You manifest what you place your attention on, so think of that which makes sense. You can explore other things later.
