There is more than one essential point, but I agree with you that Adam's mental health is probably the biggest piece of the puzzle in play.
With that said, the fact that he had access to 3 automatic weapons did also play into this. It might be secondary to the mental health aspect, but let's not go 'mainstream media' on this and only go with one answer. This happened due to more than one reason.
Also, as a small aside, I was watching some TV last night and sat through 2-3 'moments of silence' or songs or what have you. During these presentation, often the names of the victims were on cards or being displayed. My wife turned to me and asked "I wonder if Adam's name is up there?" and for a moment, it kinda hit me that I bet very few are thinking about Adam without some sort of hate or anger.
I don't believe he should go without compassion, so i'm stating my love, compassion, and forgiveness to Adam Lanza. It takes a lot of pain to get to the place where he did. I hope he is released from it now, and I hope he is able to work through his karma on 'the other side'... Love to all.
