I'd recommend mindfulness based meditation (anapanasati, body sweep), it brings perception down to earth, to basic experience of body sensations and feelings, developing an attitude of connected detachment in relation to actual/direct experience. Detachment not mentally created ('I am detached', 'I must detach'), but one which appears naturally in the process.
