Asked a divination practitioner/scholar in asia about 12/21/2012 and all he said was that the date was connected with the element of Water... whatever that means.

Water is mutable, it can change to fill any form.

I've been feeling a little put out recently. It's like I'm surfing on an oil slick and it takes all my concentration just to keep my balance. Things just keep popping up and I have to deal with them right away, and then I have no time to do the things I actually want to do. It feels like things are just speeding up and all I want to do is sit down on the grass somewhere and look at the fall colours.

It's all seeming so absurd. My job, politics . . . the whole 'rat race' we've turned society into. I just can't seem to care about any of it anymore, yet it seems like everyone expects me too. I'd like to quit my job and just read books and meditate all day, but that's not really an option.

I guess I just have to hold steady and have faith that we'll reach a turning point soon

ride it out for a bit, you are probably on an emotional low but it'll springboard to better times.
