in nov 09 saturn entered into libra for a 3 year run. libra is the sign that
rules marriage and partnerships and librans tend to be natural diplomats
always seeking to balance both sides. saturn is the planet of lessons
so when saturn enters our sign we can expect we will be held responsible
for our past and present actions. the 6th night of the mayan calendar
is all about integrity and working deep within ourselves to resolve
whatever deep held issues we might be dealing with. so it seems to me
that this year will be a year where integrity in relationships will be of
primary importance and where there will be a reaping of previous seeds sown in both our individual and collective lives. and that would include not just relationships with others but our deepest relationship the one we have with ourselves with our god selves. i happen to be a libra so my ears perked
up when i heard saturn enters libra in nov 09. and believe me the time frame from may thru august 09 was extremely intense for me but by the
grace of God we pulled thru. my life at that time was like a jackie chan
movie where he falls 50 ft and lands on his feet rolls over and keeps
on trucking. by the grace of God we made it thru ok.
the way i see it so long as we maintain integrity in our lives we have
nothing to fear. this is not not not a good time to be trying to lead
a double life thats for sure the truth is bound to come out methinks.
as far as forgiveness goes the conclusion i come to from this site is that
as we ponder the message we are all one we have no choice but to let
go of past hurts and offenses. from the point of view of oneness nothing
else makes sense but to forgive. if we don't we will stay blocked and the
energy wont be able to flow. nonforgiveness i believe is like a form
of spiritual constipations, we get backed up with our own desire
for vengence, so what do we get, spiritual bloating i guessTongueTongueTongue
not a good feeling anyhow just a few thoughts i thought would be
    interesting

    peace love and light

    hi norral

I've got my south node, neptune and moon conjunct i libra so...will i become a nun? <Lol> I already live the life of one so....

Anyway just want to give you this link www.astroflash.com Barbara Hand Clow makes a new Moon reading and also Winter and Summersolstice readings. she said this winter solstice was the "heaviest one" in many years. She also works together with Carl Johan Calleman who has his own view on the Mayan Calendar.

This New Moon is about letting go of old paths, choosing complete new and unique (feminine) ways of doing things.

    thanks norralHeart

i clicked on the link, but where can i find Barabaras postings? Also i was referring to saturn going to conjoin my south node and neptune and later my moon...doesn't look like a hilarious time, more like Ofelia entering a nunnerySad but of course there are other possibilities, have not checked my other transits for that time since the computer with my astrologyprogram is not working at the moment so i have to live by my own intuitionBigSmile

Of course i can go to astro.com but then i have to make a lot of calculations and i've got more important things to do.

anyway, saturn is exalted in libra, and personal integrity within relationships rings very true to me at the moment...

mars is banging hard against my pluto in the 11th house of relationships/friends and hopes at the moment and saturn is in my 1Confusedt so relationships seem to undergo deep changes in my life...

    ....for the better i think...

Thank you, Norral. I like to consider the possible effects of astrology on my own life, and on major events. As I see it, astrology does not predetermine outcome of destiny. Instead, it is like major currents in a river. The easiest, most spontaneous thing to do is to go along with the currents. But we can go in a different direction if we choose.

Quote:this is not not not a good time to be trying to lead a double life thats for sure the truth is bound to come out methinks.

    Yes!

I see Saturn's visit as like a storm, or an earthquake. If something is flimsy it will be shaken apart when Saturn visits. If something is strong it will endure the storm, providing shelter to those within, and will be one of the few surviving landmarks when the storm passes.

From this point of view, Saturn in Libra will test relationships and break apart the ones that are not based on mutual respect between ethical, mature individuals.

One of the things I like about this forum is that the focus is on spiritual principles, rather than the news of the day. But I think that it could be appropriate to look at some well publicized situations that seem to illustrate astrological trends. I think that a few items in the news might show Saturn in Libra at work.

I see the news about NBC's late-night TV mess as a great example of Saturn in Libra. It's pretty clear that Jay Leno and NBC management have offered less than forthright square dealings to the other people involved, especially to Conan O'Brien. Saturn in Libra exposes the whole range of backroom shenanigans to public ridicule and points out the flaws in the contracts.

Whether or not he succeeds, Obama's attempt to get bankers to reimburse the bailout money is another example of this type of energy.

And while it's too early to tell yet, the Japanese government shake-up could be yet another example.

Finally, the new regulations about honesty in Internet marketing show another side of Saturn in Libra. People who would pretend to be impartial fans, when they actually get a commission for their recommendations, now have to reveal the nature of these business relationships to potential customers.

I have had so much trouble in my life with dishonest people creating manipulative relationships. Three years of shaking all that nonsense away will suit me just fine.

    Hello!

I have some info...Im not sure it will be welcome though...and just please know, Im only the messenger and Im not trying to pull a rug out from under someone here.

Part of my path has involved me watching the sky and the stars. Comparing astrology with the real positions has made me aware of what I believe to be one of the biggest blunders in man kinds history...that is when astrology used the zodiac as a fixed tool, starting some 2000 years ago.

The positions change...the stars need to be observed because if not, one will be out of synch.

Saturn...is in Virgo. You can observe this through any astronomy sight. Here is a link from heavens above...it is a planetary chart for the positions of the planets for today. You can do this with the sun, moon, and planets from this site. The home page has a small astronomy section and you can observe further by downloading Stellarium.

    http://www.heavens-above.com/planetsumma...t=0&tz=CET

Some people still chose to use the older zodiac positions even after being shown this. I dont know why...to me its similar to someone having to change their belief...its hard to do and takes away a long time comfort from them.

As much as I dont want to ruffle feathers...this learning was a huge part of my path and I wouldnt feel right not placing a note here.

I know of Saturns power...and I can clearly tell it just left my sign of Leo and entered my old astrology sign of Virgo. The entire time Saturn was in Leo....my world turned upside down and seemed like another world. I believe Saturn played a part in awakening me, along with stubborn Mars who brought me catalysts I wont ever forget.

This whole astrology vs astronomy changes many peoples births signs also, another reason why some just cant handle it. To much change.

    My love to all

yes great examples of whats going on. and just look at the whole
tiger woods fiasco. what disappointed me most about tiger is that
he never even gave his marriage a chance. he went into the marriage
without ever having the intention of honoring it and i am a big tiger
fan . and that stuff really came out just after saturn went into libra.
but i agree wholeheartedly with you that three years of shaking all the
dishonest crap into the open suits me just fine. lets have truth come
out for once on all levels.

    peace and light

    hi litllady

thanks for the info. i am not an astrologer so i cant really respond
to your post intelligently. i just follow what some pretty good
astro people say. i do beleve that saturn was supposed to leave
libra for a little while during a retro period and then come back in
but the info i have read from more than one good astro source is
that saturn is in libra for 3 years basically from november 09
to november 2012. its interesting as i type this thread i am looking at
a plaque i have on the wall with an american indian theme that has a
picture of a falcon and eagle a wolf a bobcat and a bear. i do believe
that our animal brothers and sisters also are speaking to us
and rooting for us at this time just as the spirit world is embracing us.
regardless of where saturn is i am convinced that the whole creation,
our animal friends, our friends in spirit, the planets, our children are all cheering for us to find within ourselves our own interior beauty , selfworth and integrity and to bring forth this inner beauty into wherever
    we are in this life.

with all the love and light in my heart

    Hello stargazers

I've been doing astrology for 20 years and i've come across about all controversies in the astrological community field éver discussed. Here's an interesting article by Douglas Buchanan that will probably also make you laughBigSmile

    Hello norral!

The info I offer you disagrees with what the astrology sites will tell you. It is probably a shock for you that Saturn has not been in Libra at all. Its been in Leo until the end of October of last year when it moved into Virgo. It did retrograde yes, but this happened pretty much as soon as it entered Virgo and it did stay in Virgo during retrograde.

It wont move into Libra till 2011 (I think, Ill recheck that).

Some say...this shouldnt matter. I saw...how can it not. If Saturn in not in Libra like the astrologist say...then how can it be affected Libra?

I know your not an astrologist....but I give you this info in case you have a feeling within you that tells you to study this ever. This was something that was very important to my higher self, for me to learn about this.

Vedic astrology hits things pretty close, but it still doesnt use 13 signs....so for example, if Venus was in Ophiuchus...the vedic astrology would likely say its in Sag.

Our solar eclipse happened in Sag. this year. Sag is a part of the 3 sings (Sag. , Ophiuchus, and Scorpio) that are in the direction of the center of the galaxy. If one looks back at actually positions of the last year or so...we had alot of strange things happening in this direction.

Here is a link for vedic astrology talking about Saturn...just in case you want to check this out. Again, you can see what I say through using Stellarium, a great way to check true positions. Its a free download and loads of fun also.

    http://yournetastrologer.com/saturn_in_virgo.htm

As you can see on this link...the positions you were talking about...Saturn being in Libra, then retrograding into Virgo, then entering Libra again....THIS WILL HAPPEN...it will happen late 2011-early 2012. SO the night of forgiveness that you wrote about, concerning Saturn retrograding into Virgo ect....WILL OCCUR....just not yet. If you felt this night of forgiveness has meaning...I would note on a calendar when this will occur, a little math for the middle of retrograde isnt hard at all. The reason I say to do this yourself...is astrology sites wont remind you of its true time.

    My best to all
    Lynette

    Hello Transiten!

I enjoyed the link you gave. I think there is much more going on with our time of 13 signs in the rising of the sun then what we can even imagine. I find it of no happenstance for the times we are in. Very interesting thoughts that link gave about the 12 and the 13.

    12+1=13 12 diciples + the teacher=13

the 13th sign showed up ironically around the time of the birth of Jesus.

    Love Lynette
