Could laughter be the glue that welds human society together?

I think it is, Meerie! I think laughter really is the best medicine, and that it is one of the best ways to raise vibrations for everyone who participates!

Do you know these attacks of crazy laughter, when you just can't stop and everyone around has to join in?
I remember in school, I used to get these quite often. Once the teacher told us about some folks who used to make sandals out of old car tires. She was one of these people who could talk about the most absurd things and always keep a straight face. Well I cannot. I imagined these car tires on their feet... I started giggling, my shoulders were trembling, the pupils sitting behind me noticed and one after the other started giggling until the whole classroom erupted in loud laughter. The teacher could not understand what was going on at all.

i used to have fits where i rolled on the floor gasping for air, for 15 minutes and then i'd be reminded and laugh another 15.

Sometimes my belly hurt from all the laughter. I think I even got a muscle ache.
That could be an idea for a workout, right? a belly workout.

So this raises a question. Ra mentions importance of emotional stability. So if we are centered and still, that's a good thing.
Abraham Hicks talks about the importance of joy, which can raise one's vibration. So is it better to be joyful, or still, in order to have the highest vibration? Or is it more important to just be in the moment, regardless of how high our vibration is? Thing is I'm not always in a joyful, laughing mood. Most of the time I'm still and rather emotionless.
abraham says you should be what you are. a woman said her friends or sisters were always laughing and outgoing and she wasn't and abraham said it's ok to be as she was too! that it didn't mean she wasn't happy if she didn't laugh loudly or something. don't overthink it just do what feels good and right in the moment. there is no right answer to that unless you try to follow a code that isn't right for you. do you want to change or do you like being still and emotionless? it's up to you i think
also the time when i am the happiest is when i'm outwardly still and silent. because inside i feel so much when nothing outside is disturbing me, i create worlds and live in them and then i am most happy. and then i radiate happiness.

I love emotional stillness. Thanks Oceania. Seems like you've come out of a rut, feeling better?

I have heard of laughing as a way to chase off negative entities. Emotional stability would be harmony. I think I have even heard of using it to get yourself into a meditative state.

Pickle - you must made me LOL - I don't often actually LOL when reading online, and you've gotten me twice now. Congratulations!
Gemini Wolf - I understand being still. But I STILL believe that joy and happiness and laughter and singing and dancing . . . . raise our vibrations. My Dad used to say "all things in moderation, including moderation." Love and light and LAUGHTER!

Joy hadn't been part of my character, more like harmony was. As I'm learning, I'm allowing more joy into my life, so I think it's a good thing.

But I do have a wolfie I named Loki who loves being scratched behind the ear, and on the chest. Though I'd say my purer form of joy is in adorement. In adoring creation.

Laughing pulls one back into the present moment where there is joy. Does anyone laugh while stressing about past or future events? Or does that all briefly slip away?
Are the best jokes complicated or simple? Could it be that the present moment is mind-bogglingly simple and a quick, quirky joke serves to remind us of that? |
