I am a fan of guitar instrumental music—Joe Satriani (seen him 3 times), Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, and the like. My current obssesion is Buckethead, whom I saw recently in Arizona. He was awesome and I have no doubt that he's an un-Earthly genius. Here is a song from that concert which someone in the audience filmed:

Really digging this album, which seems to be entirely about journeys on the astral plane.

Thanks the dreams give me lot of experience and I put that into song. Love you all and I may die and I’d rather make every day count with new live videos. I’m from mars and waiting for the back Pay for the time I was stuck there waiting for someone to water me.

Translation: Here we are now, Where none of us has been We were restless, The years are still hanging after us for a long time Everything that we have, that is what we are What we're waiting on, that is here Do you see the signs, Love and wrath Everything that remains Is an escape up ahead We set out too far off, Your heart breaks down every barrier What guides us now Is the abyss we found Here we are now, Where none of us has been We were restless, The years are still hanging after us for a long time The paths are getting steep, But even so, we still see Shadows are growing, The light shines (down) on us

This song elicits one of my favorite feelings. The yearning to be close in understanding with another self.
To me it is only second to the golden memories of spending time with someone that satisfies this yearning. I feel like this song is the closest I have found to paint the color this feeling represents.
