10.14 Questioner: For the general development of the reader of this book, could you state some of the practices or exercises to perform to produce an acceleration toward the Law of One?

Ra: I am Ra.

Exercise One. This is the most nearly centered and useable within your illusion complex. The moment contains love. That is the lesson/goal of this illusion or density. The exercise is to consciously see that love in awareness and understanding distortions. The first attempt is the cornerstone. Upon this choosing rests the remainder of the life-experience of an entity. The second seeking of love within the moment begins the addition. As with the previous type of empowerment, there will be some loss of power due to flaws within the seeking in the distortion of insincerity. However, the conscious statement of self to self of the desire to seek love is so central an act of will that, as before, the loss of power due to this friction is inconsequential.

Maybe of all the Ra material, that short quote has been the biggest treasure for me. No matter what else happens, no matter how bad I might feel, I remember that advice, and I find the love. All I have to do is look around me, and realize that all matter is manifested out of energy by love. Everything I behold is a work of love. Trees, in particular, have often ushered me into an ecstatic state.

God provides an elegant and miraculous home for us; it is an infinite symphony of Love.

The 4 D Love is nothing more then a distortion of the first Love.

Everything is Love, how you use this is how your distortions will show. As negative or positive. And latter as the beginning of the whole you really are. Radiance in beingness unto itself as a whole.

But trough Love you are able to connect all creation as whole again. Always One, Always All that Is.

I find Love and awareness of being in each moment, that i am aware of doing this, and i let it be.

Just that.... I let it be... in this moment of perfection, where all things are whole, in the Eye of the void (One).

And the moment transforms itself in an eternity of Now.

Circumstances don't matter, only state of being matters.

I think Ra meant Love as in the 2nd distortion of TLOO...which would then translate roughly to "feel the calm/bliss/joy/love/etc. of the infinite source vibration from which all matter and light originate."

When Ra says this exercise is the "most nearly centered and useable" for us, I interpret that to mean it's useful from our third density standpoint. So even though it's a universal truth that the moment contains love, it's helpful to us to hear it in a way so that it becomes a teaching for us. We can then make it a goal to consciously realize it for most or ideally all the times in our lives. When Ra says it's the lesson/goal of this density to carry this realization with you all the time, then we know it's a quick an effective tool for enlightenment. It's like Eckhart Tolle's "staying in the Now". If we could all do that at all times, we'd all be ascended. It's the same thing with the conscious realization of love in the moment.

How do you distill the love there? Or is this more of a metaphysical concept of love as a basic building block of matter, etc?

So, with the above understanding, to me, it's both a personal truth AND a universal law or building block. But from our standpoint, we're going to take this universal law and make it personal in an attempt to learn its ways at this point on our own way to the next density.

A lot of the time, at this point in my life, when faced with hard catalyst where it's hard to find the love in that moment, I will forget to consciously apply principles of the LOO until later when I'm looking back on what happened. If using catalyst efficiently, the person will attempt to find the love in the moment or see others as the Creator during the moment of tough catalyst. But that requires you to be present with yourself. You need to be at a higher state of consciousness beforehand.

As i said, then the POV doesn't matter anymore, whatever beliefs systems, whatever experience you drawn to yourself, if you find that point inside your soul where you are whole and unpolarized you can then choose to see the negative experience as a neutral event that contains love.

Even if you are in pain, which could be distracting, if you trained to do this beforehand you will find it, and then trough your mind's eye a miracle can happen. A Transmutation.
You can choose to leave the experience as a neutral event or in any spin you would like.
From the whole YOU that you really are anything is possible especially acknowledging the love that everything contains/uses for work.

That's what i am working nowadays, to be in the Now as much as a whole being i am willing letting myself to be.

I also like to remember that we are recreating ourselves in every moment NOW, past present future, trough different perceptions, Thats is how Karma can be released, and how you can see your unbounded infinite nature.

When I remember that the moment contains love, I remember that we are all God. Collectively, you, me, the computer you're looking at, and everything that surrounds us is God/Love/Life. I try to remember as often as possible during the downs (as in ups and downs) of life this idea, because by doing this I help myself become more stable, centered, focused, clear, cool, calm, and collected. So even if I'm in a situation that I'd normally feel fear, guilt, shame, indecisiveness, embarassment, depression, paranoia, or anything else like that, by remembering that the moment contains love, I help myself through the catalyst/situation.

I can't say that I actually follow this exercise that Ra's provided to the T though... I just wrote it down so that I could try it out in the day to day rather than only when I'm down.

Hi everyone!

I must say that i havent really attempted this exercise at much length. This is mainly because i'm not exactly sure what i'm seeking.
As an example, there was one time where i tried this in contemplation of art. I took love to mean something being dear to your heart. So i look at a simple ornamental house sculpture, looking for the overtones of expression in it, to see what was 'dear' .. what was emphasized in the design, i came to have an (imagined) recapitulation of the sculptors love (fondness/appreciation) for that which he wished to express in his creation.

So i guess in that sense i guess on goes about it by looking at what one experiences to see what surfaces as most precious in the moment. Also to see what is most reflective of the wish of whatever creative force is behind what comes to you in the moment.

In this example i'm still unsure of whether this in incorrect or not? How close is it?

Another thing i want to add is that, i feel it's more an exercise of finding, in increasing depth and extent, what's there; rather than pasting one's a priori notions and feelings onto the situation. I may be wrong on this.

So on to the issues...

I assume that sice it's intended to bring about an acceleration toward the Law of One, we are meant to bee seeking the second distortion of the Law of One- Love. That Love also being the Original thought.
Here's where i run into confusion. I thought the Creator was intelligent infinity, made a potential by free will... but it's frequently said that the Creator is Love, the Original Thought.

Are we meant to see the Creator as Love? I figure since the other exercises suggest we find the Creator. Can anyone explain this, please?

Then there is also the issue of how the word Love is defined in the instances of the second distortion and that quality of 4th density vibration and the spiritual/emotional complex that Ra has refered to it as (in session 75, question 2.) There must be some thread of commonality that we can come to experience and know among all these? Does anyone have an idea of what that is?

Finding love in the moment is the crux of my experience.

In context of unity's statement of what love is, love is the foundation of positive emotion - to varying degrees of distortion - and encompasses:

Compassion
Gratitude
Integrity
Courage
Kindness
Passion
Acceptance
Peacefulness
etc.

Many mis-interpret love as romanticism, i.e. affection. If you're passionate about something, you're in a place of love (passion is your Higher Self telling you where to seek and apply your energy). If you're in a conversation and accepting someones else's beliefs, different to yours, you're in a place of love. Feeling grateful for your opportunity to grow, and help others? You're in a place of love. And so on.

The more each individual chooses love, in each moment, the greater their contribution to the net of positive energy surrounding the Earth (which aids in positive planetary-wide manifestation).

This is the crux of the notion, "only love can conquer fear".

If one directs anger at a person, or group of persons, they only add to the negative energy, which in turn, manifests more of the same. Sending love to those you used to direct negativity at is the polar opposite. It raises the surrounding energy.

Wanderers are here to help humanity evolve, and can can either help or hinder by adding energy that is either positive or negative.

To find love in the moment is to be of the greatest service we can at this time.

I was thinking about this and i came to a conclusion that seems to take in both our experience of Love, as the spiritual/emotional phenomenon, and as the 2nd distortion. I wanna tell you guys, could you please let me know what you think. Any comments, criticisms, whatever are welcome.

I'll propose a definition. And it is:

Love: The seeking and recognition of Unity (of identity) in the awareness, allowance and acceptance of freely willed distortions.

So here we have the ideas of infinite acceptance and knowing of other (selves and things) as self. Along with, eventually, seeing the Creator and it's will in all things. Coming to know the creator as all.

Interestingly, it also informs us of how the Creator finds all within the creation as precious. It is all The Self, all contributing to the primal desire to know the Self.

I put identity in brackets since that's a much stricter condition, so it would possibly make the exercise of seeking love in the moment more challenging.

What do you guys think of this? Is it productive to see Love this way? You have more experience with the exercise than i do so i'd like to know how your experience stands next to this. Any thoughts you may have are welcome.

I have used this advice often when I was ill or despondent. For me, it meant that even in the dark, there would be a small light and it was up to me to find the light and see it and amplify it. I would picture putting a mirror by the light (which I saw as a candle) to make it bigger, to increase the light in my dark room (depressio or illness). I would see this light as something like "I still have the love of my children" or the knowledge that "I must be learning something" or "Notice how beautiful the sunset is outside that window". This light or love that you can see becomes bigger with the focus of your consciousness (your attention on it) so that the very act of noticing love/light makes the situation better "brighter". This is a wonderful understanding that can help you throughout the day and night. Where is the light? Notice it. Make it brighter. This removes the dark, shifts your emotions and also transforms the moment and your own understanding of your own ability to create more light.

Hi Eric,

I understand where your'e coming from on that one- in my initial post on this thread i go into a bit of how i sought love, and you'll see there that i took it to be the/a thing that i know it to be in my 'every day' experience of it. And.. it worked to an extent. I think there's a lot of value in seeking it as you know it to be since that's what, for you, appears to be true.

I guess the process is one of clearing dust from lenses one is seeing through... Those lenses we could think of as the 'eyes of love'. Actually, on the LL Researc site's library there is a colouring book, titled, 'What is Love'. And in it, the boy, who the story follows, meets with a being that helps him to see with the eyes of Love. He then sees Love everywhere in the Creation, he sees his mom as a being of Love. And so on... This is the experience i looking for, seeing Love ubiquitously. That's why i tried to establish here what it was.

We need to know what we're looking for before we can start the search...

I see the merit in finding the Love in the moment as you know, or imagine it to be. However, you mentioned the Law of Doubling. Don't you wonder that that Law might mean that the extent and depth to which we become aware will increase vastly as we do the exercise...? doesn't this then imply that, given the limited knowing or imagining of Love that we may have, we are searching for something more here? something beyond our own experience of it.

So i tried to posit a defintion that allows for that increase. Also. the exercise is intended to produce an acceleration towards the Law of One, wouldn't finding the second distortion of that Law accelerate us toward it.

How can we reconcile, searching for Love according to our experiential knowing of it with the view that each searching will give us a deeper idea of what it may be..

If everything happens for a reason...providing someone with a learning experience (by it you or another)....isnt that based on love, the building blocks of something being 'needed' (having a reasons behind it) is based on 'love'.

My son may not think I grounded him for 2 weeks is based on love..and he may not think that its needed that he looses his phone and tv for 2 weeks and he may even feel hate and anger about it...but what I am giving him is needed, it has reasons behind it...its based in love.

The world has a lot of suffering in it right now...but isnt this suffering needed if we are to learn that we can do more, sacrifice and offer more to others then taking too much for a chosen few? Isnt it ironically based on a 'need, a reason'...and if there is a reason for it...the reason is to catalyze us in growth and awareness....isnt it still based in love for the betterment of something in the end?

As hard as it is to find the understanding that suffering is needed....tough love is sometimes the hardest love to see.

Someone may hurt you...and to you, that is not love. But your forgiveness to those that know not what they do or why they do it....is love that will help them stand when they review their life.

If you dont see love in the situation....bring it to the situation.

Hi Eric,
I see the 'doubling effect' (each time you choose to see love in the moment) as a way for Ra to describe how significant your choice is; and what a huge impact it has on your STO vibration every time you choose to do that. Each time you choose to embrace the moment and accept what is happening and find a positive understanding of what it happening, you become stronger and stronger in your orientation. The progression Ra describes is something like: 1+1+1+6. The fourth time doubles the third. It means that you are building an orientation in some type of geometric progression.
When I choose anger or fear, I can literally feel myself becoming less vital.
My big question is: How to defend yourself against attack without falling into a negative space? I remember Ra saying to do something like "refusing" the offering of the negative entity for an opportunity to make you fearful or angry--kind of like saying "no thank you" to a hostess offering desert. It is hard for me to remain so even (without resentments) when I realize what is happening.

I guess I have to accept my anger and resentment and keep being conscious of the fact that I must be learning something in this gig. And try to emotionally swim back towards the light. That overall attitude of looking for the love in the moment (the lesson or possible goodness) begins to make me feel lighter and more vibrant as I crawl out of the pit, and I guess it does help lift me out of it (the pit). Just crawling out right now after a hard day in relationship....Good night all.

I do it by finding space around it by not reacting out of the old mind. By taking a step back and really refelcting on my role in the drama. We may make mistakes and we will as long as we are humans. But we can also be in any moment with the intention of love. With heart filled with love. When we approach any situation like that the outcome may or may not be different but your response has certainly high vibrations associated with it.

In my experience a number of times the issues or negative situations get resolved by just not responding to the drama and keeping an open and loving heart. People are able to see that and feel that and resond positively to it. If this does not help the situation then a later quiet tme reflection on the situation often produces insight and learning associated with it. You may also find LOVE for the past moment in that moment of reflection and heal it later on.

In my humble opinion that too is LOVE. Just acting on physical/emotional self. There is no duality. It is all one single stream with many facets in between. People find an aspect they are more comfortable with. Once they have experienced it in fullest without judgement then they are ready to move forward to the next level

It's been a while... I've wondered why there havent been more shares on this one. I speculate two reasons.

1) People consider this an obvious one- i perfectly understand not wanting to post on something when something seems obvious.

2) People want to leave room for meditation and contemplation rather than giving an answer that could be temptingly used as a one fits all concept... being in favour of a more fluid idea/feeling of what it could be.

I find this one interesting given the various responses here , reconsidering them in this light it friutful.

We of Hatonn are of the density of love, and this is our message. Our message to your people is a message of love. It is a very simple message. It is a message we have repeated millions and millions of times, uncounted millions of times, my friends, to the peoples of your planet. It is a message of love for other beings. Actually, my friends, this is all that is necessary to be communicated to your peoples at this time. There are many other things that we have told you, and many other things that we will tell you. However, if this single message could be fully understood and fully applied during each instant of your experience in your present illusion, all else would be unnecessary, for you would then realize personally everything else that we have had to give you, every other concept, for we come to you to help you understand the nature of the creation in which you dwell, the creation of which you are an integral, single, unified part.

When i think about it in terms of what Ra has said about Love being the Focus of (potentiated) Unity/Intelligent Infinity/the One Infinite Creator, it brings to mind an analogy. It is that Gravity (Unity) commands centrality, when it is available as a potential allows then for the effect of gravitation (Intelligent energy) when that potential is tapped through a focus, specifically when a point in that gravitational potential field can allow the channeling of the potential, such as by a ball being at some height in the air (being a sharer in awareness, (without distortion?) of the one intelligent infinity/unity)..

Any thoughts on this analogy and how the feeling of Love as the feeling/knowing of Unity is a focus of Unity..

I hope we can somehow reconcile, or adapt and upgrade, our idea/feeling of what we call Love to some sense and knowing of the Second Distortion.

I agree brother. Perhaps I was ambiguous with the notion, I will restate; many mis-interpret love as the concept of romanticism itself, not realising that all emotions of positive balance are indeed based upon the foundation of love. They then separate love from compassion, kindness, trust and integrity, viewing it only in terms of romanticism.

Great thread, very central in my experience this life, learning to radiate my core truth of love, despite the mirrors of anger, control, judgement, depression etc.

A paradox for me is the importance of self-love on the STO path. Those of us on the STO path will be more radiant as we love and accept ourself. And yet in a way this may seem selfish or be viewed as "service-to-self".

Example: My experience has been embedded in Christianity being born and raised Roman catholic, "born again" in high-school adopting evangelical Bible -believing Christianity. My family is very much aligned in these viewpoints. My husband and I have had a continual difficulty in our relationship as I have awakened and pull away from those paradigms. Recently, I told him that I no longer want to be part of a small group bible study that we have been part of for many years. The reason is that I feel I cannot give my energy to a patriarchal worldview because I feel so strongly that this has to change, and I feel responsible to be part of that change. I am honoring my truth and integrity, loving myself, as I direct my energy in spiritual groups that are more aligned with my beliefs and path. However, he is not happy with my decision, and I am unhappy with his unhappiness because we love each other. He does not see it my way and views my decision as "selfish". And I have difficulty in finding love in the patriarchal way that has oppressed feminine energy for too long, and I have difficulty being myself, fully and openly in that environment. I have wanted to find a way to do that for many years... a little better at it. But it is a bit of a dilemma and a paradox.

Does anyone have any thoughts about this dilemma?

Example: My experience has been embedded in Christianity being born and raised Roman catholic, "born again" in high-school adopting evangelical Bible -believing Christianity. My family is very much aligned in these viewpoints. My husband and I have had a continual difficulty in our relationship as I have awakened and pull away from those paradigms. Recently, I told him that I no longer want to be part of a small group bible study that we have been part of for many years. The reason is that I feel I cannot give my energy to a patriarchal worldview because I feel so strongly that this has to change, and I feel responsible to be part of that change. I am honoring my truth and integrity, loving myself, as I direct my energy in spiritual groups that are more aligned with my beliefs and path. However, he is not happy with my decision, and I am unhappy with his unhappiness because we love each other. He does not see it my way and views my decision as "selfish". And I have difficulty in finding love in the patriarchal way that has oppressed feminine energy for too long, and I have difficulty being myself, fully and openly in that environment. I have wanted to find a way to do that for many years... a little better at it. But it is a bit of a dilemma and a paradox.

Does anyone have any thoughts about this dilemma?

You're very strong to do so, a wonderful example of integrity.

It may not be on your radar at the moment, but your integrity is offering your husband, and those close to you caught up in dogmatic beliefs, much service.

Q'uo, Bashar and Abraham all offer the same wisdom: you will never reach your greatest service to others if you do not follow your own truths. Only when one finds their own center and acts with integrity are they able to offer genuine service to others.

Loving the Self in the contexts of STS and STO are entirely different. STS entities love the Self at the expense of, and above others, while STO entities love the Self equally to, and for the benefit/service of others.

I have gotten more adept at finding center in my body..it is an calm and solid anchor of truth. Finding that anchor in the moment....that is something to think about.

I like your explanation of the difference of STS and STO loving the self....thinking in context of how my intention is the benefit of others is helpful. My intention is to help create a world in which there is equal value, equal respect and honor given to the masculine and feminine energy. We have a ways to go to get there in this world!

I guess I have to accept my anger and resentment and keep being conscious of the fact that I must be learning something in this gig. And try to emotionally swim back towards the light. That overall attitude of looking for the love in the moment (the lesson or possible goodness) begins to make me feel lighter and more vibrant as I crawl out of the pit, and I guess it does help lift me out of it (the pit). Hang in there sister, the orientation of finding the love in the moment is such service in and of itself, and then when you are able to actually find it, it does seem to have a doubling effect.

From my own example, in the scene I described above I was able to speak my truth with love that day. And though I fell into the pit somewhat the next day, I prayed, and did some reiki for the situation.

Then last night, my husband brought me home and installed a new dishwasher because mine has not been working well and finally broke down, and today he is texting me all about 1/11/11 and 11:11 a.m. Now that never happened before And what a loving act for him to do that, he was up really late, and he did that because he loves me.

It does seem that things are opening up and resolving more quickly for us these days.

Yes, he does, and his choice is valid for himself. He does, however, want unity by his own definition of it, based upon his own belief system. Being open to your own imbalances is the key to turning them around, so you're already on the right track.

It's hard! Circumstances that illicit the powerful emotional response are those that clearly highlight powerful imbalances. The ego is not easily controlled, and only true Masters can remain in a place of love in any situation. Don't be hard on yourself, it's part of the process :¬)

Can you please clarify how being part of this group causes you difficulty in not being open and yourself? Is this about people in the group or the group itself. I guess if the talks can be centered around Mary and Jesus and how they lived and what they do and their energies then it does not have to be patriachial. What better way to bring Goddess energy in, by being right where it is needed the most?

First, I think it's way cool that you're moving through this difficulty with so much dedication to your family and to your own personal faith. My feeling is that the planetary transition from 3D to 4D will entail centuries of work such as you're doing. Keep it up!


As everyone knows, the Bible is full of contradictions which everyone selectively ignores. For example, Gene Robinson, the first openly gay Episcopal Bishop likes to point out that those who refer to the passages in Leviticus which say that homosexuals should be stoned to death ignore that the fact that same punishment was meted out to adulterers.

Why should anyone choose to condemn one group so severely and not the other? How can this be resolved?


So, here's something which may be useful. (John 13:34) A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; even as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

You might inquire of your fellows, how can I love women as Jesus loved his disciples if I regard them as being subservient? How can I love them as I know Jesus loves them if I accept your relegating them to second class status? How can we resolve this paradox together in a way which exemplifies Divine Love?

Good question ! Probably a combination of things stemming from conditioning, socialization, and childhood. Catalysts encountered on the way to mastery

I have asked myself this question, and do go back and forth between, "Just participate, and work with the catalyst" and "Ugg, I don't want to do this anymore!!"

A big part of it is wanting my husband to be not only understanding, being in union with my viewpoint on many issues. He is slowly opening up.

Some in the group have a spiritual viewpoint and perspective that I have long grown out of, some seem to equate their political -right leaning with their idea of "WWJD" and in my judgement that is such a preposterous way to see the world. I mean really, can't they see the political machine that manipulates their mind and emotions to support nefarious agendas? (such as "War on Terror" and war in Iraq and Afghanistan)

So it's complicated!

Yes yes yes, this cognitive dissonance that I encounter, pulls me right out of my heart and quickly, and I have found it difficult to be love in those moments of disagreement.

The idea that the Bible is the Word of God is so ingrained and entrenched.
When this came up again the other day my question was, "what about the gospel of John that says, 'In the beginning was the Word (Logos) and the Word was with God and the word was God." John 1:1 I said, "Is John talking about the Bible?"

There is much resistance to the idea that the Word of God is much bigger, more abstract, and mystical than a book.

So, here's something which may be useful. (John 13:34) A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; even as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
