    They can't compete with the iPad and Kindle. The marketing power of Apple (externally) and Amazon (internally) is impossible to counter as a small(er) business.

    Just bought a Jetbook Lite for $90 on Newegg. Much smaller, and supports all the formats - so it's certainly not about beta vs vhs. To me, iPad is overkill for that purpose, and not as portable.

    I use the Kindle app on my android phone (its a gigantic dell streak).

    it's great.

    I've bought about 15 books so far, although not many recently. Current fav? a course in miracles (how can you resist Jeshua talking to you in a chanelling?? BigSmile
