I have a very dedicated christian friend that I speak to almost daily about dogmatic religion and my belief in the Law of One. He repeatedly always narrows our conversations down to the idea that his religion has a good solid foundation and that The Law seems to revolve around free will and positive and negative choices. So what would the foundation be to teach ones children of the Law of One that would help them figure out the difference from a positive or negative choice? I myself am actually very curious of this as well.

The foundation of the Law of One that is also a foundation of Christianity is that we are ALL brothers and sisters, for we are ALL ONE. Smile
If you are on a quest to understand "The Choice" and negative/positive.

I could suggest my thread here: Understanding negativity with The Law of One.

Teach your children to love all of God's creation with all their hearts and to see themselves as though they are those who they see around them. When they understand that they are not individuals, they will begin to see humanity as more important their own self interests, and everything else will simply fall into place.

The foundation is in the name.

    The Law is One.

    Unity.

    All else is distortion.

Hi Panditavagga, welcome to the forums!

I would imagine a great way to help children understand the nature between positive and negative choices would be to simply use everyday examples as they come up, whether it's a choice you make or they make, and talk to them about why the choice was compassionate, integrative, honest, or welcoming (positive), or whether it was manipulative, dishonest, harmful, and segregative (negative). I believe children will innately stumble upon both of these types of actions as their consciousness grows to grasp the full impact of their actions on others.

I suppose that you could also use this technique when sharing stories with children, discussing the actions and interactions of characters, and how they're positive or negative.

I think the great thing about the Law of One as a spiritual path/understanding is that it persists throughout every facet of life. You don't have to use the Ra material as a basis for sharing the Law of One with your children; you can use anything that you personally resonate with to help do this. The foundation is all around us, in everything we see, and sharing the connectedness of all things doesn't require a set of guidelines.

Like Ra said, "The moment contains love." At any moment, you can find this love and share it with your children, empowering and inspiring them to begin searching for it on their own.

The BEST thing I ever saw with my kids: The Last Airbender TV series (not the movie). Not only does it give a very understandable account of reincarnation through the Avatar character, but in the end, he chooses to value all life instead of taking the life of the man who would destroy the world and make it serve him. You kind of have to watch the whole series to really feel the message at the end though.

The question posed at the beginning has already been beautifully answered.

I'd imagine that the harder part of raising kids in this would be explaining why their "other selves" are so mean sometimes...sigh...

Well, this is definitely a tricky question and one which I don't answer unless asked.

In my opinion, from what I've read of the Ra material (many times over I might add), it states you merely birth the child, accept and love the child whether it tends to be polarized towards a more STS state of mind or otherwise. I agree with Bring4th_Austin, he nailed the nail right on the head. While getting your kid into trouble each time he does what you view as not a STO action, probing and questioning the child so that not only does he get your point of view, but he must look within for his answer and to make his decisions. Which ultimately, is what happens to each of us, LOL. So, in my opinion, raise him to be successful and self-sufficient. From there, all you can do is really ask what he see's and how he feels about it in the attempts to teach your distortion of Unity/Positivity and get him to make some sort of inner-realization.
