As you may have seen in the "Artistic Endeavors" thread, I have been making orgone pieces. I really enjoy the process and have set up an Etsy page to hopefully help fund my future endeavors. BigSmile

Thank you very much for taking the time to check it out.

Do you have any sources of info about orgone energy that you trust? I don't know much about it. I've got a small orgone device already but those pyramids are awesome...I'd like to know a bit more about it though.

Thank you, Austin. I learned most of what I know from warriormatrix.com forums - the website owners have been doing their thing with the right energy for awhile and I find them to be trustworthy. The site they have set up with basic information is orgoniteinfo.com.

In a nutshell- the resin shrinks and creates pressure on the quartz crystal which puts off an electrical charge, which the metal conducts.

I can't claim to understand or feel like I've been completely satisfied with all the science, what really attracted me was the charging of the crystals, enhancement of that charge with other mediums and geometry, and the intention behind creating the orgonite. Not to mention, in the process I risk my own well-being, as the fumes are extremely poisonous! I think it's very effective when I can give someone a little thing with all my best hopes and intentions for them and just let that work as it will. People who make orgonite are very big on "gifting", be it waterways, depressed areas, schools, churches, hospitals, etc - and I think that little bit of love can go a long way.

Awesome!! There's a method that is less precarious that involves using a semi-solid material like oil or wax, and clipping the quartz with a binder-clip to put pressure to create the effect. It's not as permanent necessarily but the effect is similar and with relatively less commitment.

Before I was like this is pretty awesome looked into it with no real intention of making my own. Now I'm like ... I really want to make my own.

I've taken a short sabbatical from pouring because of my hectic work schedule these past few months, but I have a week off coming up and 5 gallons of resin should be arriving in the middle of it, so I think I'm gonna pour some more soon. I'm excited!

Sweeet do you use a natural resin? Also any places online you recommend buying metal shavings and small crystal pieces?

I don't like that warriormatrix site. Their forum banned me for posting too much.

Rake, my apologies, I scrolled up and realized a post I made hadn't been made. My internet has been randomly timing out for a few weeks now so I think it was eaten on my end and not the web server. Anyway!

For metal shavings, lots of people go to scrap yards or recycling centers where you can get them for practically nothing, but you do want to make sure they are clean (not covered in grease). You can buy small parcels of of various metals (copper, brass, aluminum) on ebay as well, 4oz and up. I get brass by going to the Home Depot a couple miles away and cleaning out the reservoir in their key-cutting machine.

For chips, I often buy from this amazon seller:
    http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=bl_sr_miscel...r+Crystals

Sometimes it's also very cost effective to find strings of drilled beads of the stones that you want.

Sorry again for the delay, pretty sure this is the third time I've typed this post!
