Aloha to my brothers and sisters! Thank you for your presence. Reading the threads and "feeling" you around me brings great happiness and gratitude for your service and your compassion/wisdom. I respect and love here.

I did not come upon the Law of One until recently, and after reading many of the passages have found that it resonated with me greatly. What a wonderful confirmation/reminder.

As many of you shared, I have also felt that I was here for a purpose to be of service to others. This realization came about during the dark night of my soul that "began" about 10-11 years old. I was pretty depressed, in the clinical term, during this time, often contemplating termination of life as the pain of experiencing life on this density was just too much.

Yet it was during these times of feeling disconnected, unloved, and pained that that sweet voice whispered to me from my spirit. This process of listening opened my consciousness to the great mystery. First lesson allowed me to understand that I was not from "here." So I began to understand who I was and why I needed to suffer so much. The voice that answered was so clear - "know thy self."

Through study of tarot, astrology, metaphysics/spirituality, and psychology in my pre-teen/teen years, I learned that I was here to be of service to others. It was such an ecstatic moment where the light-bulbs when *ding*! - ON. Couple of months, maybe it was a year later, the headmistress of my school (a beautiful nun from Ireland) stopped a group of us girls in the hallway. She said, "remember girls, when you grow up don't work in banking or finance, do something that helps others." That was a great confirmation for me.

Tarot and astrology and deep contemplation (through creative writing and journaling... brilliant ideas/concepts pop up when I write) really helped to understand my self. Being of emotional hypersensitivity, I was often told I was weak ("crybaby"). When I believed that, I became weak. Yet that voice kept pushing me on to understand my hypersensitivity. Astrology helped to gain better perspective on why I was born sensitive. Well, turns out my gift in this life is in the realm of emotions (very intense moon and aspect to pluto).

From a constructive perspective, this hypersensitivity was called empathy with love. And empathy is so crucial to compassion. As the Law of One and Tao Te Ching both clearly state, compassion without wisdom really can be exhausting!

So as I grew up as a sensitive, creative young girl, I progressed to a develop my analytical side during high school and college. The balance of analytical/emotional was helpful. And then growing older, I realized that I just had a thing for being of service to those who were going through challenging times, so I decided to become a therapist. My clients and colleagues have been great teachers. I am so humbled to see many people coming into this world to learn their lessons. So much respect, so much courage!

It's really not about technique... healing is about the relationship. The more I heal my relationship with myself, the more I connect with others on that deep level. When I am able to do that, I see the client shift, and I'll shift along side. It's this mutual respect and love (with healthy boundaries and ethics) that I think is so healing. Healing really is about understanding, acceptance, and forgiveness - forgiveness of self and others (there is more to it, of course). The self-blame/other-blame & judgment really is what is painful about this density.

When I asked my inner "guidance" on what's important (for me) at this time. I got "absolution," which was a word that sounded familiar but that I did not understand it's meaning. Looked it up and it was about forgiveness.

This is a really great time for that. The "waves" are "up" and when I "ride the wave," it seems a bit easier to clear things up.

Anyway, I'll be lurking around and learning from you all. I appreciate this opportunity!

If anybody would like to know their astrology better I would love to help. I never ever charge because it's just not done. I'm a "nerd" who loves to do readings. lol. Please let me know how I may help.

    Hey and welcome BigSmile

I am happy you found this place .)
For a while now I have entertained the thought of having a reading done. But the where and the who parts have had me on a halt. I would be most thankful if you could realize that desire! Tell me what I must do for this to work, as this is area I am mostly unfamiliar with.

Peace be with ya sister Smile

    EDIT: Thank you ,D

Welcome beautiful woman! It is so inspiring when I learn of people who are so fulfilled by their life's work. Especially one so important and valuable such as yours in times like these. Thank you for your service! Of the three paths of study that Ra mentions: Tree of Life, Astrology, and Tarot - Astrology has always resonated the most with me. I have yet to find a strong footing on where to begin my study, so if you have any tips or recommendations, please feel free to message me. It's such a vast field of study with much room for error. :intimidated: Wink

    Thank you so much!

AnUncomplicatedLove: Yes they are great to study! I would pick one that most excites you and go from there. Start at the simplest, most straightforward level and dig deeper when you feel ready. You already know this because it's a part of who we are, so learn through spirit if you like.

    Lots of free resources:

    Tarot: http://www.learntarot.com
    Astrology: http://www.astro.com

Have "fun" with it, play around with the tarot cards or with the free features on these sites, and familiarize with the techniques at your comfortable pace... select the technique that resonate the most with you at this time.

You could use your inner resources to understand it from an intuitive orientation, if you feel you learn this way the best. My dear friend actually studied astrology and tarot mostly through her remembrance. She looks at the tarot cards or astrology chart and the information flows. That's a wonderful way to learn, too, if that is your mode of learning!

Enjoy your experience as a divination newby by having fun with it... enjoy the excitement of trying something new!

Great point BlatzAdict! I started that way... by using the Major Arcana only. It's a good starting point for learning.

Thanks for the post. I have depression, Bi-Polar. This article gives me hope. I read most of the Ra material over the past few years. It brought together some questions about why I have been drawn towards astrology, reincarnation, Kabbalah, TM, spirituality in general since I was about 14 years old. But because my family and friends thought it was all hocus pocus and devil worship I would drop these urgings time after time, so I could fit in with who ever I was around- family, school peers, fleeting friends. I sank more and more into confusion as I grew up. Now I am starting the path I was intended to be on- spirituality. So it is never to late.

    Aloha!

I am glad that you were able to use your suffering in such constructive, positive ways. A true success story, in my opinion! I have a personal question that I will ask, but you don't have to answer if you don't want, it may be an irrelevant question anyway ...

I am curious to know, from your stand point, do you ever worry/fear that your work as a therapist may prevent an other from experiencing the amount of suffering that may be necessary for them to become awakened?

Also, I would love a reading, if you ever have the time to spare. My birthdate is 4/14/71 and I was born in Oak Park, Illinois.

    Mahalo!

Aloha KindaEnlightened! When working with another, I have full trust that we will engage in a process that is in alignment with the client's highest and most wise self. My role is to assist clients by creating a 'safe' space so they may explore themselves in a new way, and to facilitate a process that is in alignment with mutually agreed upon goals for client's development. So, I don't alleviate their suffering... that is something that clients do by themselves as they begin to process their experiences. My work is with severely distressed and/or 'mentally ill,' economically/emotionally impoverished clients, and usually interacting with social institutions (justice system, social welfare, school), whereby daily functioning is a struggle... so basically we're talking about working with lower ray issues. I'm not certain tho, what you mean by 'awakening.' That term seems to mean many things to many people...

    Does this answer your question?

I would be honored to do your chart!

The minor cards are for those who apply the symbolism of numerology and astrology along with the major arcana.

Any reading can be fully done with the Major cards alone as the full teaching and enchantment is in those cards alone.

The minor has been added long after the origins of the tarot by those who choose to appease the other divinations.

I am glad that you pointed this out Rie.

Many false readers do not care about such things and is probably the main reason they do not offer true readings.

It is vital that the client realize that their subconscious traditional and social experiences are going to influence every reading, and that the 'connection' that a true reader establishes is not a one way street.

Discerning the reading in the aftermath of the ritual is as vital as anything that is turned over during the process.

It is absolutely crucial to discern what is meant for the client and what is meant for the reader.

In the sacred space created for the reading, both fields are sharing.

Yes thank you for that Shin'ar. Any reading and interaction does create an intersubjective experience where the observer (e.g.,reader/therapist) cannot be separated from the observed (client). And visa-versa.

Do you have any advice on how discernment may be made and how to understand the experience of 'resonating' with information?

you've had a beautiful life rie. Seems as though you've been blessed at every turn, even up to the things you do today.

some Wanderers seem to get an easier ride than others BigSmile

but in the end, we chose our lives to be tailored for the lessons we chose to learn. So everything is 'appropriate' at some level.

to quote Ra: or something close to: "each gets the opportunity that each requires".

blessings on your path; and you have truly blessed all those that you have come into contact with on these forums.

I can sense the implicit trust that others have in you because of your unfeigned openness.

this has been another offering from the plenum intergalatic service

There are no words to describe how wonderful it is to be in your loving and wise presence Plenum, so I will telepathically sing Oppa Gangnum style (to you) in appreciation for all that you do/contribute on this forum. You bring an uplifting 'plenum style' effect that brings people together to laugh and to discuss those things that touch us all deeply. I am grateful for your leadership! Your posts are educational and they lead me to think in divergent ways - into places I have yet to explore. So thank you brother plenum!

This story is the foundation of my journey. It has it's ups-and-downs as we all experiences in our lives. My biggest guiding light is to 'trust in the process,' and in knowing that the answers/resources are always within... and the most important place is within us.
