as a diabetic i measure my blood sugar. one thing i can say as a fact, if i eat a bagel which doesnt happen very often it will make my blood sugar jump vs eating say a slice of whole wheat bread. so the simple carbs make the blood sugar jump which is one reason imo that many diabetics have a problem with weight

    Isn't that a tautology?

Your definition of normal will adjust to fit what is normal.

So called normal westerners actually have very large fat deposits compared to normal, healthy non westerners.

We have buildings, large buildings, where westerners pay big bucks to be members, all for glorifying the superficial body. Yes, people pay $200 a month to pedal a stationary bike.
We have the "Barbie syndromes", bulimia, anorexia, all at the same time we have "we're too fat".

We are consistently "too something" RollEyes

I had to laugh when I read that the country is overweight.
Indeed, 4500 kms from the Atlantic to the Pacific coast - a lot broader than for example Germany Smile
3D, as you know, balance lies in the middle. Maybe all the anorexic Barbies desperately try to make up for the obese Americans?

Lol... people drive the car to the gym, then work out, then drive the car back whereever it is they are going.
Does anyone walk in the USA?
If people were walking or cycling doing their errands, going to work etc. many of them would not need a work out at all.
Is it true that in many of the big American cities you don't even have sidewalks for pedestrians?
just the streets for the cars?

I certainly haven't been to most cities, but I've never seen one without sidewalks.

I know a guy who loves to eat but also is mean to overweight people. He considers it okay to eat 2 pounds of spaghetti because he will run it off. Talk about self inflicted torture. On both counts.

Yeah. Or it could just be failed logic on his part. To me, that's just a double whammy to his body complex. To him, it's logical.
He also says he loves that feeling of doing aerobic exercise to the point of almost vomiting. I can't relate.
