Will, you should message Gary with your email address - he keeps a volunteer list of available transcribers. In fact, he just sent out a request today for people to transcribe Homecoming presentations. If this is something you really wish to do, it's definitely possible!

I've listening to a few of Scott's Law of One courses, and I consider him to be incredibly insightful and a valueable teacher. Yes, sometimes Scott speaks with know-it-all-ness, but for the most part he is honest and just speaking his mind. I Think Scott is a misunderstood teacher but he is a really good guy and quite advanced in thinking and spiritual working. Just my opinions. I did look at your work and it's impressive Chandlersdad.

Yes, he speaks his mind. That is where his prejudice and narrow minded attitudes come to light. How can he not see the contradiction in claiming to be a highly advanced spiritual being, yet full of disrespect and hatred for groups of humans who are different from him? I also think he is insightful. But increasingly his arrogant judgment of other people (especially gay people and anyone who dares to not find the Ra Law of One to be the supreme teaching on planet Earth) becomes distressing. He also had complete faith in Billy Meier, John Lear, David Wilcock, and Bill Cooper, to name a few crackpots. He also believes that humans lived with dinosaurs, which is interesting since humans were only supposed to exist 75000 years ago, but dinosaurs went extinct 65 MILLION years ago. The man is a highly intellectual nutcase at times. Nonetheless, I enjoy going through his YOUTUBE class videos. WHY? Because the majority of what he says is very helpful in understanding the confusing language of Ra. He has a few quirks besides an extreme need to judge other humans. He also seems obsessed with RAYS. Certainly, this is part of the Ra material. But Scott can babble non-stop for 20 minutes about RAYS, their family background, their favorite TV shows, their medical history, etc. It is more than any average student of Ra LOO needs to know unless that student has acute OCD. ![]()
Well, some of the worst "teachers" I have ever lent an ear to, did actually teach me loads, just not what they intended to teach me. How can you know one thing without knowing the other? How can you recognise a good teacher, if you have no idea what a bad teacher looks like?
And so it is with all in life, you can only appreciate something if you are intimately familiar with its antithesis. PS. My post is not aimed at Scott anymore, just the teacher/guru/charlatan phenomenon which is so ubiquitous. Nowadays when I see the crowds running in one direction, I know to go the other way.

Well, I still do not understand why you won't do me the honor of going through my document. You supposedly already know the Ra Law of One. You are not a novice. Therefore, you are in a perfect position to go through the material to evaluate Scott's teaching skills PUTTING ASIDE HIS OBVIOUS 4TH CHAKRA BLOCKAGE THAT LEADS HIM TO JUDGE OTHERS SO HARSHLY. You may find a lot of wisdom there. I am sure there is no danger that you or anyone who knows the material already is going to be seduced into believing that Ra rode into Egypt 11000 years ago as golden humanoids riding pink ostriches. You are totally dismissing all my hard work because Scott has an obvious character trait issue that he refuses to even acknowledge. Who cares? Check out the writing about various aspects of the Ra material itself. I think he is quite deep. In fact, often he is TOO deep for me. A good teacher can have a strong ego. It just shows that he is human and amusingly obtuse about his own blockages. ![]() One very popular pop psychology/New Age teacher that falls under this umbrella for me is Wayne Dyer. He often related valuable information, but always had to give himself a strong pat on the back in his books for being a very good boy! You just roll your eyes and let that aspect go. It does not mean nothing he writes is worth while. Quote:Well, I still do not understand why you won't do me the honor of going through my document. Naaaaa, I have put him on the 'no' pile. Forgive me. I just don't warm up to him, and with things like that I trust my gut. I really love funny and jubilant teachers with a lot of joie de vivre. It's going to have to be someone really special to take Alan Watts place in my life! But if Scott has benefited others, then all is well. Different strokes for different folks. Aaaaand.... if he's hobnobbing with these other usual suspects you mentioned, then it's a definite no-no! Lol! As for the Ra teachings, I like going straight to the source. Why introduce a middle man? Ra's funny too, by the way! And pretty soon I'm on the high seas anyway, so time is all of a sudden in short supply!

I have just about everything metaphysical somewhere in my library. I have an inventory that tells me what I have since otherwise I would lose track! It is a traditional library, a room dedicated to books with shelves on all the walls. Nowadays people usually call a coffee table with 2 books a "library". LOL
It's funny, I actually haven't read any of Alan Watt's books yet, although I have downloaded this one - The Book on the Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are - to be read still.
I befriended a bunch of Ayahuasca drinkers recently, a very bohemian crowd, and I joined their facebook group, and after the hundredth person posted something about Alan Watts, I finally downloaded his lectures. I'll be honest, for me Ra has really been my greatest discovery, but Alan Watts is my audio opium! I don't know if he comes across as well in the written word as in his lectures, because with him it's the lectures everyone goes on and on about. |
