What is spiritual entropy? - darklight - 09-15-2014 I have read this term one time in the LOO, but wasn't able to understand it's meaning. I remember thinking about this as well. I think that, just as in, for example, organisations and companies today, positions are shuffled and people are replaced. There is a constant reorganisation. RE: What is spiritual entropy? - ricdaw - 09-15-2014 In physics, entropy is "a thermodynamic quantity representing the unavailability of a system's thermal energy for conversion into mechanical work, often interpreted as the degree of disorder or randomness in the system." So I imagine spiritual entropy is a similar concept describing a partial lack of spiritual purpose or ennui. Contextually, Ra used the term to descibe a drag or friction preventing the achievement of a spiritual purpose. So, for example, Ra has described meditation as a very important spiritual practice. If, despite this clear teaching, you do not choose to meditate, that unwillingness is a form of spiritual entropy. Similarly, if you do meditate, but get bored by it or do it infrequently, that lack of effort is also a form of spiritual entropy. There is a good example in Session 60 where Ra notes that the people of earth call out for help, and members of the Confederation respond with basic information to help. But the callers don't put the basic information into practice and keep calling out for help, whereupon the basic information is repeated. Eventually, the callers get weary of the repetitive information. This is spiritual entropy. RE: What is spiritual entropy? - seven - 09-15-2014 Ah, that's a good explanation ricdaw. RE: What is spiritual entropy? - AnthroHeart - 09-15-2014 Every time I meditate I get a strong pressure around my lower chakras that's a bit uncomfortable. Sometimes a cutting feeling in my 3rd eye. It all feels very edgy. I would describe it as the resistance to unity. RE: What is spiritual entropy? - AnthroHeart - 09-16-2014 I want unity really bad. But what could be the unconscious causes for resistance to unity? I don't think I'm consciously resisting unity. RE: What is spiritual entropy? - anagogy - 09-16-2014 (09-16-2014, 06:29 PM)Gemini Wolf Wrote: I want unity really bad. Just as looking outwards automatically and reflexively engenders the reality of inwards (else how would look 'outwards'?), seeing the world from a seemingly separated vantage point reaffirms or validates the reality of experiencing it as a separate object. Not being able to truly imagine unity could also be termed a kind of resistance to unity. If the only thoughts we are capable of imagining are thoughts of separation, and that is all we've ever known, it is quite the feat to then activate thoughts of unity instead. Hence why polarity is a function of the machine and not the spirit. Why would spirit reorganize, why would space need to be reorganized. How does space being reorganized by time affect spirit. Time is discernment of spirit or the real self or of no shackles of consciousness. I think Anagogy captured it in a nutshell by calling it "resistance to unity". To expand on that thought a little, Ra says: Quote:http://www.lawofone.info/results.php?s=15#14 Negative entities are doing precisely *not* that. By the time they reach the higher densities they have absolutely mastered resisting unity and perpetuating the illusion of separation or individuality. With the following results: Quote:http://www.lawofone.info/results.php?s=7#15 Not only, then, do they not "merge" together, but they probably don't even work well together, as each is exercising power over and against the other. This perpetual in-fighting and resistance not only to unity, but to each other, must reduce cohesion, and thus result in disintegration in the collective, and perhaps, even, some form of disintegration within the self that must be constantly checked with greater and greater use of will.
