Earthing Mat - First Impressions - xise - 11-23-2013 Earthing Mat Description on Amazon Just got it today! It's convenient - you can use it under your feet at a desktop, as a keyboard pad, in your bed, or all of the above. The feeling of the earthing mat is exactly the same as the one I get when I stand barefoot on grass. Alternatively, it feels similar to when I am meditating inside and focus my intent to use to connect to the Earth's grid by either accelerating energy into the feet from the Earth or sending energy out from my feet to the Earth. I don't know or claim to know what this does, but I personally can attest to the fact that the two aforementioned methods I have experience with - energetically connecting my feet to the Earth during indoor meditations, and standing outside - seem to remove anxious, turbulent energy from me some time. Usually I use this method as a last resort when I cannot determine what inside of me is generating the energy in order to focus on on mundane tasks that need to be done without distraction. I have no idea why it works tho, and would speculate that it may be root chakra stuff or it may be just electrical phenomenon. I have investigated this further and am much more interested. RE: Earthing Mat - First Impressions - xise - 11-25-2013 It definitely has an energetic effect. I've used it to sleep twice so far, and I wakeup 4-5 times a night feeling energy. I surprisingly don't feel super tired after such a disturbed slumber - normally if I slept and wokeup 4-5 times I would feel horrible. However, given that I normally sleep soundly, I'm considering not using it while I sleep. I am also particularly sensitive to Pickle's device - I cannot sleep when it is within 6 feet of me. As an aside, as it is grounded through metal wire essential going into the ground, during winter it always stays cool. I get more cold with it when sleeping and have to turn up the heat. You may want to get conductive socks which another person tested with a voltmeter does work (read an internet article the other day).
