Guess What Kills One Person Every 19 Minutes? - BrownEye - 12-01-2012 This made me think of my older sister who is on disability, that has many people believing she knows a lot about health. My younger sister had pulled a couple of pill bottles out of her cabinet (full cabinet of only scripts) and wrote down the names just to look them up. I looked up the side effects, and one of the pills had a side effect of death! Her incredulous rebuttal was "why would the doctor give me something that was bad for me?" The other pill listed a side effect of nerve damage in the legs. Coincidentally she was going in for surgery on her legs because of nerve problems. As far as I can tell she has never questioned why she continually pops up with new health issues. It has been the strangest experience to have people tell me that a sick and disabled person "really knows what's healthy for you". Quote:When it comes “how you’re going to die,” many people fear things like airplane crashes or shark attacks, even though statistics show that deaths from these events are very rare. Conversely, far too many people mistakenly believe that certain common aspects of everyday life are extremely safe — when, in reality, this is often far from the truth.http://www.liveinthenow.com/article/guess-what-kills-one-person-every-19-minutes Quote:Experts call for mental illness screening for childrenhttp://uk.reuters.com/article/2012/11/28/us-depression-teenagers-screening-idUKBRE8AR1E820121128 RE: Guess What Kills One Person Every 19 Minutes? - Guardian - 12-01-2012 As a doctor, I find giving vitamins, minerals, hormones and appropriate referrals to be more effective than pharmaceuticals in most circumstances. RE: Guess What Kills One Person Every 19 Minutes? - AnthroHeart - 12-01-2012 I'm glad I came off pharmaceuticals. Especially the ones for mental "disorders". Those really affect the pineal. The omega 3 fish oil and B vitamins I've been taking have worked wonders. Also, not pushing my spiritual balance beyond my capacity to ground. RE: Guess What Kills One Person Every 19 Minutes? - AnthroHeart - 12-02-2012 I was only on them for about 2 months. A year before that I was on them about that long as well. Well I'm not taking any pharmaceuticals now. I've been off them for a little over two months. RE: Guess What Kills One Person Every 19 Minutes? - kdsii - 12-02-2012 I hear you there. I always had a feeling that having a prescribed 'bandage' over depression was a bad idea. Now that I'm off mine, I realize that I still have to face those old fears, even if meds boxed them away. They're made to sound like they FIX something, but all meds to many times is postponing full emotional ownership of catalyst. I think we're on a similar path, Gemini (12-01-2012, 11:55 PM)Gemini Wolf Wrote: I'm glad I came off pharmaceuticals. Especially the ones for mental "disorders". Those really affect the pineal. RE: Guess What Kills One Person Every 19 Minutes? - AnthroHeart - 12-02-2012 I'm also working on going raw vegan, and detoxing with zeolite. I find if I don't push myself into the light forcefully, that I can stay balanced. Be careful which zeolite you get, some are bullshit. I did it for awhile but I'm not 100% sure it was the only thing working. A very good way to detox is to get a water distiller and remineralizing drops. I was becoming pretty healthy and then my mind cracked and I relapsed. But up until then I was was making lots of progrss. RE: Guess What Kills One Person Every 19 Minutes? - Tenet Nosce - 12-02-2012 I love this little gem of an article. It is 12 years old, so the numbers are outdated, but the author is from Johns Hopkins, and it was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
