Sedona Method vs. Ra - Wander-Man - 07-26-2009

One of the ways of "releasing" emotions from The Sedona Method is called 'Holistic Releasing.' I noticed this was very similar to Ra's instructions on how to become a healer.

Ra (http://lawofone.info/results.php?session_id=5&ss=1#2):
Quote:The polarity of your dimension must be internalized. Where you find patience within your mind you must consciously find the corresponding impatience and vice versa. Each thought a being has, has in its turn an antithesis. The disciplines of the mind involve, first of all, identifying both those things of which you approve and those things of which you disapprove within yourself, and then balancing each and every positive and negative charge with its equal.

And this is snippet from Holistic Releasing (http://www.allaboutprosperity.com/articles/hdwoskin-60second.htm):

Quote:When you bring the two sides of a polarity together, it's like bringing matter and antimatter, or positive and negative energy, together. The opposites neutralize each other and you're left with much greater freedom, presence, and understanding...Now, the way we do this is very simple. We simply focus on both sides of the polarity by going back and forth repeatedly between both sides...

Here is how it works: Silently ask yourself the following two questions alternating between the two sides of the polarity at a pace that is comfortable for you. Allow yourself to feel each side as best you can. Also, do your best to lead with your heart or your feelings as opposed to your mind or your thoughts.

* Could you allow yourself to feel as anxious and stressful as you do in this moment?
* And then, could you allow yourself to feel as relaxed and secure as you do in this moment?
* And as anxious and stressful as you do in this moment?
* And as relaxed and secure as you do in this moment?

I just thought that was interesting, especially considering all the testimonials of people being healed using the Sedona Method. I'm trying it out myself, with a little success.

As always, I am very suspicious to information that is not freely given (charity, kindness) and it seems Mr Hale Dwoskin wants to make an awful amount of money around this!
But thank you for introducing it, I'll get it through other means and see what I think of it.

The example you pick resonates with me, for the purpose of harmonizing oneself. I'll look forward to reading more.
My friends, please consider though that every technique is a trap, but you have to be trapped by them to get them to work.

The Sedona Method Course Wrote:Here is just some of what you can expect to achieve:

* Higher Self-esteem and Self-confidence
* Much Greater Relaxation and Clarity in Action and at Rest
* Freedom from the Debilitating Effects of Anger, Anxiety, Depression, Stress, Tension, Grief and Fear
* The Freedom to Live Life Fully, Happily, and Joyously every Moment
* Unshakable Inner Peace, Contentment and Satisfaction

It gives some rather large expectations... all this is within one own's reach, but if it helps some people to get rid of barriers to these then I am grateful.

The Sedona Method Course Wrote:Effortless Wealth and Success
Most of us desire to have more wealth and success in our lives. Even if we feel like we have enough, we often do not allow ourselves to create what we choose with ease. This course is dedicated to showing you how to dissolve the blocks to creating, maintaining, and enjoying effortless wealth and success. You will gain all of this and more:

* Make More Money with Less Effort
* Access your Intuitive Knowing and Clear Reason and Make Better Investment and Life Decisions
* Free Yourself of Fear, Worry and Anxiety including Fear of Failure and Success
* Work Smarter not Harder
* Boost your Self-confidence and Flexibility
* Dissolve all the Inner Barriers to Lasting Effortless Wealth and Success

I suppose money is within many's interest. But the concept of money does fundamentally not resonate with me, I can see no happiness being brought by money except a very quick and empty one. The decision to include such gives me very bad vibes, as if it's been included just to make it sell more. Which gives me even more bad vibes. Smile

The overall initiatory feeling of this material is that it might be shallow, but also good with some individualized modifications of the practical material. Well, we shall see.

RE: Sedona Method vs. Ra - Ali Quadir - 07-26-2009

This sedona method reminds me of something I did ten years ago.

I was suffering from severe mood swings. I could be very happy, one moment and extremely sad the next moment. I was unable to remember my happiness when I was sad, and I did not understand my sadness when I was happy.

Kinda like you guys say the Sedona method recommends, I started to tell myself if I was happy to emotionally remember it for when I was sad. And when I was sad to emotionally remember it for when I was happy. The effect after a few months was that there was that happy and sad started to move towards each other and I regained some balance.

Of course the happy and sad were two extremes of the same pendulum.

So if this is the Sedona method. Even though I never heard of it before, I think I can say connecting both poles of polarity works.

It's funny because a lot of people buy the Sedona Method course with the intent to increase their wealth. Hwoskin says that with this course you can "get anything you want."

The dirty trick is that the course is all about dissolving all your wants. "You want money?" "Could you let that go?" "Would you?" "When?" lol...so you do indeed get everything you want...which is nothing. And then supposedly you get things that you used to want, but it doesn't really matter because you don't want them anymore..

A good example of this is how the Sedona method solves all your problems.

Quote:Allow yourself to focus inside, and allow yourself to think of a problem you have.

And then check to see if there's any feeling of wanting to figure it out. Could you let go of wanting to figure it out? Would you? When?

And then check to see if there's any feeling of wanting to defend or justify the problem. If so, could you let go of wanting to defend or justify that problem?

And then check to see if there's any rejection of yourself or the problem. If so, could you let go of rejecting yourself and the problem, and could you accept and embrace the problem as it is?

And could you let go of wanting to make this problem real again?

I'm also not a big fan of all the marketing and the crazy costs. But I think the material itself is very nice. And if you don't agree with the price, you can always borrow it...from the internetBigSmile

Yes, the program cannot even motivate it's own existence. If you want to follow this program, then you pidge-hole yourself in that desire.
But I have listened to some CD's which I borrowed from the internet (Smile) and there is some good stuff there that resonates with LOO teachings. The method itself is simply another iteration and technique of Being. To get everything you must want nothing. To be free you must let go of the desire to be free - and such.
Very nice introductory material for people with emotional problems. I myself have an opposite problem, being simply too centered. I rarely feel anything anymore except an accepting calm.

I would say say it might be more like this; now that you are no longer attached to those things you can allow them to flow into your life, enjoy them, and then let them go without the fear that comes with attachment. For instance, many people have an attachment to food, sometimes because they enjoy it, sometimes just because they know they need it to live. If they were able to let go of the attachment, that probably doesn't mean they will stop eating, but the fear of where the next meal will come from would disappear, and they could simply have whatever foods they need to survive flow into their life. They could focus on enjoying the food that comes to them by this process, rather than being too picky. What I mean to point out is that not wanting something does not mean you will not accept and enjoy it; it just means you probably won't be frivolous or possessive about it. Maybe... but Ra also says that "negative" beings can open the gateway to Intelligent Infinity as well. Maybe an advanced negative entity might release it's desire for certain things and just use what comes to it naturally to accomplish its ends, much like a positive being. These are simply my thoughts.

This made me giggle. Smile

I feel that this, however, would seem to imply that you are not completely in balance. Perhaps you might want to start "tugging some ropes" to try and find what is making you feel that there is a problem. I trust you'll figure things out, in any case. Wink

RE: Sedona Method vs. Ra - ayadew - 07-30-2009

Yes, I've reached an increasing understanding that this is the case. The past days I've been digging in some memories/relations, and there are blockages of love and acceptance there. I won't be surprised if this unveils something larger
