TLOO in Coldplay's Speed of Sound - travis-22 - 01-01-2012 Happy 2012! As I contemplate whether to post the following as a blog entry, I seek your feedback on my analysis of the Coldplay song, Speed of Sound. Please let me know if I've done justice for the LOO concepts explained, or if perhaps I am myopically reaching to tie-in these concepts to the song's meaning. Thanks. Seeking intelligent infinity: An analysis of lyrics in Coldplay’s Speed of Sound. “If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite.” -William Blake As sentient beings, we humans are consciously aware of our existence; endowed with abilities to think, sense, feel, reason and wonder. This complex intellect prompts our investigation into the mysteries of why we are here, where we came from, and where we are going. It is through an understanding of conscious ascension that we may glean logical answers to these age-old questions and gain awareness to the metaphysical veil of illusion that separates our perceived reality from the truths about our greater significance in the universe. Quote:How long before I get in The opening lyrics of Speed of Sound portray one’s eagerness to awaken to their higher self. In parallel, these might be questions posed by one who desires initiation into an esoteric mystery school, where curricula of rites, trials (conquering one’s mountainous ego) and philosophies accelerate the adept’s progress toward enlightenment and conscious ascension. Quote:Look up, I look up at night Awakening to the higher self involves the revelation of interconnectedness of macrocosm (planets, the heavens) and microcosm (Earth life). The song encourages the continuous pursuit of ascension through a metaphorical climb up a tree for a new perspective from which to know the Cosmos. Trees are the highest evolved plant life and revered as powerful conduits between Heaven and Earth. Quote:How long am I gonna stand The questioner contemplates his spiritual shortcomings, doubting that a personal ascension will occur within this lifetime. He might stop (die) before he can start (ascend) - though the lyrics present this statement in reverse order – not the right way up. Quote:All that noise and all that sound The chorus alludes to the esoteric discipline of channeling, in which a person in a trance state of consciousness serves as a medium or channel for receiving messages from other-dimensional entities/energies. Our minds might personify these channeled entities as archetypal winged angels, which this song symbolizes as birds. Their words (all that noise and all that sound) are projected audibly at the speed of sound through the voice of the earthbound channel (Birds came flying from the underground). Volumes of benevolent and well-documented teachings have been received from channeled beings, providing profound lessons to help us answer life’s mysteries; including the origins of humankind (to show you how it all began), the places where we’ve been (All those places I got found) and where we are going (conscious evolution). Knowledge acquired through channeling is gaining acceptance by the mainstream, helped by recognition from the U.N. Society for Enlightenment and Transformation, which hosts live channelings amongst an audience of delegates at the organization’s New York symposiums. Witnessing a channeling session and being open-minded to the mystical concepts taught may change the skeptic’s perspective, as inferred from the lyrics “If you could see it then you’d understand.” Quote:Ideas that you'll never find Intelligent Infinity or Infinite Intelligence can be described as the universe’s orderly and unified quantum construct of unlimited creative potential, also called the Divine Matrix, or more commonly known as God. It’s a subject covered in various channeled teachings such as The Law of One. We humans subconsciously tap into this ubiquitous cosmic force and convert it into ideas and energies that we use both constructively and destructively in our roles as co-creators. Those with heightened consciousness are more apt to make use of this resource. Intelligent Infinity contains the ideas that you’ll never find, that all the inventors could never design. It is the All Knowing potentiator of creativity, integrated with our quantum consciousness to inspire our most advanced ideas, from architecture (the buildings that you put up) to harnessing electrical energy (Japan and China all lit up). Quote:Some things you have to believe At this uninformed place in humankind’s conscious evolution, it is largely by blind faith that we believe in an omnipotent order to this puzzling and seemingly chaotic universe. Quote:[Chorus] Quote:All those signs I knew what they meant The answers have always been there beyond our opaque doors of perception. The concluding verses recapitulate the significance of Intelligent Infinity and its inspiring role in humankind’s technological, intellectual and spiritual advancements. Quote:And birds go flying at the speed of sound RE: TLOO in Coldplay's Speed of Sound - Parsons - 01-02-2012 (01-01-2012, 01:43 PM)travis-22 Wrote:Quote:All those signs I knew what they meant Yes! A agree with these statements most especially, but your interpretations seem to be sound as a whole as well. I would also like to give you a friendly suggestion/pointer towards a thread I created if you haven't already seen it that I think has a long-term goal to put all the songs that I can find in popular music that seem to try to help us awaken. I would like to link to this thread so others can find your interpretation of a song I was planning on interpreting eventually (Coldplay is/was on the top of my short list to get to ) http://www.bring4th.org/forums/showthread.php?tid=3778 PS: I posted it in the Olio section, and you posted your thread in the strickly LOO section, and there also seem to be a thread or two our there that seem to be floating around that are about media/music as well. Friendly suggestion mods: perhaps a subforum within Olio to put things in the categories of photos, music, and video so there isnt a lot of redundant threads with different, thus harder to find, titles, as they relate to the LOO. Noted! I'll bounce your idea off the other mods. |
