3D Printer - BrownEye - 07-10-2011 RE: 3D Printer - zenmaster - 07-10-2011 Was manual painting required after printing? RE: 3D Printer - BrownEye - 07-10-2011 From my understanding that is a color printout. RE: 3D Printer - zenmaster - 07-10-2011 Looks like the head was airbrushed. If that color was also scanned and printed automatically, I'd say that was more remarkable than the form duplication. RE: 3D Printer - BrownEye - 07-10-2011 ![]() RE: 3D Printer - Ens Entium - 07-11-2011 What timing.. There was a piece tv last night at about 7pm (I'm GMT+2) about how they're using this technology to print tissues and bits of organs. Really cool.. RE: 3D Printer - Oceania - 07-11-2011 no more liver stealers! seriously how cool is that? it looks like a clone from a 70s scififlick. RE: 3D Printer - LorenzoNuniz - 08-20-2011 3D printing is a form of technology where a three dimensional object is created by laying down successive layers of material.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3D_printing#cite_note-03D printers are generally faster, more affordable and easier to use than other additive manufacturing technologies. 3D printers offer product developers the ability to print parts and assemblies made of several materials with different mechanical and physical properties in a single build process. Advanced 3D printing technologies yield models that can serve as product prototypes.A large number of competing technologies are available to do 3D printing. RE: 3D Printer - Kiko - 08-20-2011 I recently stayed with my parents for a few days in the UK, and my 'computer illiterate' step-father told me that they have a couple of these 3D printers at the technical college he works at. He sets it up and maintains it, and students learn how to create 3D models in software, then have them 'printed' out. Factories all over the world will be using them to produce all kinds of things.
