The Planet X / Nbiru believers are going to LOVE this... RE: Melancholia (Lars Von Trier) - Meerie - 04-12-2011 Oooooh.... Alexander Skarsgard The movie sounds interesting. Isn't it funny how so many artists are picking up endgame / 2012 themes now? There must be something in the air... Yeah, but remember End of Days in the late 90s with Gabriel Byrne, cashing in on the millennial fever going around at the time Supply and demand, and they understand the demand right now. RE: Melancholia (Lars Von Trier) - GentleReckoning - 12-18-2012 Just saw it. Creating a film that plays on popular conspiracy theories? Clearly sts material. The subliminals are designed to create chaos as well. RE: Melancholia (Lars Von Trier) - indiGo33 - 12-18-2012 Seen the movie last year and it is one of the most depressing films I have seen to date, neverthless being an admierer of Trier's cinematography I enjoyed the movie, despite it's overall dark 'aura' RE: Melancholia (Lars Von Trier) - Richard - 12-18-2012 I watched it....really depressing. It was difficult to watch. It felt like there was a heavy weight on my chest through out the entire movie (no, not a heart attack)...kind of heard to describe. But it quit after the movie was over. RE: Melancholia (Lars Von Trier) - GentleReckoning - 12-18-2012 Um, I would guess that your heavy weight was related to the subliminals: Wasn't paying attention to part 1, but once I caught the 'jist' of the story started paying attention: Here they are: 1. It's the end of the earth. 2. Get ready a gun. 3. I want to be famous. 4. I want to grab a gun and shoot someone. 5. Before it's all over. It was a good movie, Very artfully done. But, the tone combined with the subliminals make this fairly standard Earth STS material. (likely intentionally) |
