Earth and legal rights - IndigoSalvia - 01-24-2022 Inspired by a recent response from flofrog, and my own tender feelings toward Mother Earth, I was curious to hear a radio program (Climate One) discussing a paradigm shift to grant legal rights to Earth. In other words, extending some of the same rights that we have as people to Earth's ecosystems: rivers, forests, mountains, etc. I have mixed emotions/thoughts about this. Initially, my thought was, yes, of course, she should have rights and protections. However, legal systems are often fraught with problems, and are often adversarial. Where would this path lead us? Presumably, one could sue on behalf of Mother Earth, to protect her, for instance. On the other hand, could Earth have liability ... could someone sue our planet for alleged harm done by her? (Example: A tornado destroyed my house/business, let's sue Earth. ... what would this even look like?) Hypothetically, it could be a very mixed bag. I also immediately thought of our dear planet transitioning to 4D. And, our race's transition to 4D as well, and eventually forming a SMC with Mother Earth "hosting" our collective consciousness. Could recognizing Earth's inherent beingness be a step in the 3D to 4D transition? I wonder: what would Earth say to this proposal? I am not certain where Earth is in the Logos (galactic), sub-Logos (Sun), sub-sub-Logos (being) classification system. It seems, if memory serves, that planetary spheres are not Logoi. If that is the case, planetary spheres are not co-creators like a Logos. From Law of One perspective, what spiritual qualities is our planet endowed with? Is there any way we, our human race, can love and cherish Earth without duking it out in the courts? In the end, this proposal does not resonate with me because of the pitfalls associated with human-made systems. However, I am intrigued by the notion that the global community - as individuals and as a collective - could one day cherish and honor our planet. RE: Earth and legal rights - Patrick - 01-24-2022 We don't have a "mainstream" way of communicating with the Earth yet. We can channel it, but that would not be recognized by most people. I think we need this communication first before any effective means of legal rights can be provided. Earth Needs A Cheap Lawyer - Dekalb_Blues - 01-25-2022 Earth Needs A Cheap Lawyer Meanwhile, some legal progress has been made here and there by certain parties willing to aggressively pursue their own interests.. O_O RE: Earth and legal rights - flofrog - 01-25-2022 That’s lovely Dekalb… Yes I think definitely legal might come last or…. Might not be needed ? Thank you IndigoSalvia, ![]() |
