Christmas Eve Sighting Story - LeafieGreens - 05-06-2021
Story time!
I was one of those kids who swore I saw Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve night.
This was more than a few years ago. I think I was around 5 or 6 years old -- so this is mid 1980's. I would guess Christmas Eve 1984.
I woke up in the middle of the night because I was sleeping so lightly, full of excitement about Christmas. I also had that thrilling terror of 100% belief in Santa. It's weird to imagine we just culturally accept that an old man with a bag sneaks around our homes on Christmas Eve night. And that he sees us when we're sleeping and knows when we're awake -- as the song goes.
Anyway, I shared a bedroom with my older brother at the time. I was just sitting up in bed, too excited to sleep, when I began to hear this faint pulsing tone. It slowly got louder. It sounded very clean and clear -- kind of like a digital tone. It wasn't that fast-paced, maybe one tone every 2-3 seconds.
Then I saw a red light in the sky. I couldn't make out any shape. It was just a big red light that was slowly pulsing in sync with the tones. It was also moving quite slowly. Just a bright red pulsing light. Our room was on the corner of the house so I watched it go by one set of windows and then the next.
At the time I was so terrified / excited that it was DEFINITELY SANTA that when I tried to wake my brother to tell him, all that came out was this hissed whisper. I was too afraid that Santa would see that I was still awake and that would mean no presents. So I just sat there and watched this light and heard the tones.
Eventually the light was out of sight but I remember I kept hearing the tones chiming away until they also faded. The whole thing lasted maybe 10 minutes. It was moving that slowly.
Now, I know that it definitely happened and it wasn't a dream. The excitement / thrill / terror of the whole event was too real. I was way too awake and full of adrenalin for it to have been a dream. It took me a good hour or two to calm down and get back to sleep. I was so thrilled I had "seen" Santa!
The other thing is that because it was December in Illinois, the windows were definitely closed. And yet I was able to "hear" this tone.
The other other weird thing is that the shades would have been pulled down at the time. And yet I remember this red light shining in the sky out the window. I remember watching it go by the north facing window and then the east facing window. This is a part of the memory that doesn't make sense to me. How did I see a red light?
The entire time I thought it was Santa for sure, zero doubt. I don't even know if I knew what UFO's were at that point. But now looking back, it surely seems more like a UFO than DEFINITELY SANTA.
It makes me wonder if it was all part of the plan to enable me to keep an open mind in life. A solid memory of something that was beyond rationality. Perhaps my Star Team wanted to give me a moment of magic and wonder by doing a little flyby on Christmas Eve, when I was so young and full of belief that magic is real.
Luckily, I still know that it is.

Those are some interesting experiences. Stressful things going on in life. Wouldn't be posting much but this was something noteworthy I just saw now outside.
People will likely be posting a long single file line of craft looking lights over California and other states on the web here within the next couple days. Not the Starlink sats that went up yesterday, something else. Just saw it myself and others in CA are seeing it and people just saw it in Utah based on someone I know using twitter.
It's a huge single file line of like over 70 distinct lights moving faster than planes, spaced much further apart and a different look than the satellites. So these aren't the Starlink sats but doesn't necessarily mean it's ET's they came from the direction of Vandenburg AFB so it could be some other type of military industrial type launch they aren't talking about openly.

There have been mass sightings around the USA this week! Also fighting on the net about whether it’s Starlink as BD said.
