Baby Moose Playing in Sprinklers - fairyfarmgirl - 09-01-2010 A Beautiful Video showing the Grace of Peace between species. http://www.wimp.com/babymoose RE: Baby Moose Playing in Sprinklers - Questioner - 09-03-2010 That was so sweet to see the kids playing and drinking and Mama watching over with loving protectiveness. I would be very nervous about having such big wild animals visit my home. Thanks to the video, though, now I know how to make friends with the moose. Grab that hose and set up some splash fun they can't get anywhere else. Thanks a lot for posting this, ffg. RE: Baby Moose Playing in Sprinklers - Brittany - 09-03-2010 awwwww.....that's so CUTE! RE: Baby Moose Playing in Sprinklers - fairyfarmgirl - 09-04-2010 Moose are very gentle and nearsighted creatures. They really love standing neck deep in swamp water and gnoshing on aquatic plants and staying out of all the blackflies (little vicious biting bugs reputed to be the state"bird" of Maine) and have breakfast, lunch and dinner in one venue. The only time to avoid Moose is in rutting time around Oct-Nov. And typically it is the males to avoid. Due to the nearsightness they will charge and challenge anything that remotely looks like a moose (cars, cows, tree, humans, pigs, barns, etc.) in order to show thier dominence. Otherwise, moose are rather gentle and shy giants of the forest. Moose means eater of bark named by the original human inhabitants of the Northern Climes... Because, with 8 months of winter aquatic plants are not available so the Moose eats the bark and tips of conifer trees. This is their main diet they gnosh on for most of the time. So there you have it. Mama Moose is nearsighted and gentle nothing to worry about What a blessing for the people to be visited by this gentle giant mama moose and her twin calves. This speaks volumes concerning the HEARTS of those who reside in the house and yard. fairyfarmgirl RE: Baby Moose Playing in Sprinklers - Questioner - 09-05-2010 I'm glad to learn how those giants are gentle grazers most of the time. That video is charming, I mean in both the cuteness and the magical feel of the moment. |
