The River - peelstreetguy - 07-28-2010

Hello everyone. I havn't posted much in the last month and I'd like to show you why. I noticed that I was posting mostly about things that bother me, The oil leak, vaccines, people pissing me off, ect. One month ago today I went down to the river to meditate on helping the oil leak and the planet in general. I thought that maybe I could use the river as an amplifier and it would carry my thoughts. So I went on my bike and brought my camera.

I live five minutes by bike from the St. Lawrence river. I've lived here for five years and only went down there a couple of times before. This time when I went down, a relationship with me and the river started. I'm addicted to it now. I have to go down there at least a couple times a week. I feel great when I'm there and the feeling lasts when I get back for the evening. It's like it charges my batteries! To me, it is a magical place, especially when I live in a big city with all the daily annoyances that come with it.

So, I thought I would share some of the beauty and my adventures at "The River".

Some body made these cement moulds and put them on some rocks.

Hi Peels! What a great idea, to shift into a positive mode!

I totally relate. I love rivers! I grew up swimming in rivers and feel totally at home in them. Just throw me in a river and I'm happy! Yes, great way to charge your batteries! I feel totally exhilarated afterwards.

Alas, I moved to the "big city" and no more rivers. But I'm not far from the river and have no excuse for not going there more often. Thanks for the inspiration!

What a great idea, to project your intentions and let the river carry it to the Earth. I love it! Water is programmable and conducts intention.

what a magical thing to discover and connect with your river. i have always lived near rivers or lochs, except for one year which was awful, i really really noticed the lack of being close to water and i remember the feeling of exhileration when i came close to the coast after being away from it for so long

i just moved away from a flat that backed directly onto 'my' river, i miss the ever present sound of it. we're not that far away from it now and are near it often just with daily life. still got a water connection at my new home though as we have a little pond in the garden

glad to hear your enjoying your connection with your river so much

RE: The River - peelstreetguy - 09-05-2010

Happy sunday! It is with great regret that I say my river walking is over for this year (I think). The weather has finally broke. Friday was the last hot day of this crazy hot summer we had.

The river helped me a lot in finding a place of peace, nature and in some strange way healing. I say strange way because I've hurt myself numerous times at the river, but somehow I think the river interacts with my energy body and charges it or something. It's hard to explain the magic of the river.

Does anybody know how the large body of flowing water affects our energy bodies? I've heard about the magic of rivers before, but only experienced it this year for the first time cognitively. It's wonderfull.

So, One last pic of the river. This is me meditating while sitting on a rock that is about eight inches below the water. When I do this, I sometimes feel at one with the river. I send my love and light through the river.

What a lovely piccy! BigSmile

I'm some what of a novice to this........ but to me, I see the water cleansing your aura and joining with you, also energy that comes threw you from above is joining the river and being carried along into it's flow. Blush I duno if that even makes sense. Smile

RE: The River - peelstreetguy - 09-05-2010

@ndy, sounds good to me! sounds just about right, thanks.

Spending time in nature is a great way to recharge and do some reflective introspection. I usually go to the park and walk through the trees. It helps us remember Gaia is a living being, and spending time with her is just like going to a family reunion.
