They key phrase for me in that quote is, "The polarity of your dimension must be internalized." What I take that to mean is that one must recognize that in 3D almost all things are polarized, so everything you conceive/feel has its antithesis. I think it has to do with recognizing that both poles of the spectrum exist - if you're patient all day, then you will never understand impatience.

I think a good analogy is how we are the instruments of the Creator. We want to be comfortable within the full realm of emotions so that we are more fluid and able to tap into each as needed. No emotion is negative, we've just assigned them these connotations. Impatience can be helpful at times. So can anger. Recognizing that many things that we've judged as inherently negative can have their positive expression is the goal.

Anger kept in without release causes cancer.

GentleWanderer, Intelligent Infinity contains all things, and not only as separate ideas but, rather, it is the Oneness expressing itself in all ideas and all polar opposites. Therefore to access Intelligent Infinity, one of the necessary steps is to experience the oneness of all polar opposites.

That might seem like a daunting task - all polar opposites - but again the idea is not to go through each pair of opposites individually, but to see through to the oneness of polar opposites in general.

Here's an exercise on this I was given by my guides when I asked them about opening the gateway to Intelligent Infinity:
Quote:The reason this is so vital is that the oneness of all represents the oneness of intelligent infinity. It is undifferentiated, whole, vital and joyful in that vitality and beingness, that is the truth. So in order to reach it, you must experience and perceive oneness, wholeness, joyfulness in all that exists about you. that is the truth. Focusing on oneness and acceptance of hatred and suffering are insufficient to achieve the kind of understanding we are describing, Stranger. That is the truth. You have to delve deeper into the core of Self and the fabric of reality, and find that wholeness within. This can be practiced in meditation by identifying each thing, whether resentment or love, and finding its opposite, that is the truth. The opposite of resentment is loving acceptance. The opposite of love is in fact indifference. do this, then when the two concepts are simultaneously being held in your consciousness, merge them into one in your inner attention space. Hold them there and watch one become the other. The reason they can be thus transmuted is their one common, shared nature, that nature being Light.

I would add that seeing through the opposites is holding the source of Light in the mind. I call this space the Neutral mind, and from here any quality of the Creator can be felt with direct experience, and ultimate creative purpose in the dance of Life. The mind is imperturbable as long as the Light is held and able to flow dynamically as required. It may help to begin with seeing the opposites individually, and feeling the middle, the source point of these rays of light that balance each other unconditionally, until the process is felt more and more deeply in the self, and in every feeling, emotion, thought or point of awareness that can be listened to. All is mind. All is of the universal Light.

Another way to begin is by intimately feeling the energy signatures of any or all things in your conscious awareness, then balance that felt energy with its opposite feeling in imagination. One way the opposite is found is by honoring the original energy-feeling without condition as to see its broader expression. Hold both in the attention-space until the mind is made aware of a vast and infinite feeling that grows as the mind's identity resides less in the dual energy-feelings and more in the vastness at the center made aware by the honoring of the two opposites. All this is is aligning the Mind with the perspective of the Soul, or the Heart, The I AM.

So observe your projections in the environment and in the mirrors that other selves provide and in the body. Know that any one thing makes the creator Whole. See how your mind zeroes in and attempts to see through the eyes of duality because it is easy to understand this way.

Most importantly, where is my mind's attention right now? What is right before me that is the limit of my awareness? Where does the mind limit me?

I think it is easier to try and break bad habits of perceiving duality by exploring the opposite of what the mind is used to perceive one step at a time rather than focusing on both all the times. Let's say someone has a tendancy to judge people at first look for what are apparent negative traits, it would be helpful to try and explore what qualities one can find about those people. Just walking in the street and finding qualities to people you cross rather than letting duality win and fall in easy patterns of judgment. At one point it becomes apparent that you are each and everyone of them and that they are mirrors of yourself and that only the perception of duality keeps the mind in active judgment and prevents one from accepting parts of the self. Then it becomes easier to accept and understand the self.

I have to give this a big "hell naw". Expressing anger does not cause STS polarization unless that anger is used for manipulation or to impose your will upon another. There are healthy and indeed loving ways to express anger, first and foremost with honesty, rather than with retaliation.

Quote:52.7 Questioner: Am I correct, then, in assuming that discipline of the personality, knowledge of self, and control, shall I say, in strengthening of the will would be what any fifth-density entity would see as those things of importance?

Ra: I am Ra. In actuality these things are of importance in third through early seventh densities. The only correction in nuance that we would make is your use of the word, control. It is paramount that it be understood that it is not desirable or helpful to the growth of the understanding, may we say, of an entity by itself to control thought processes or impulses except where they may result in actions not consonant with the Law of One. Control may seem to be a short-cut to discipline, peace, and illumination. However, this very control potentiates and necessitates the further incarnative experience in order to balance this control or repression of that self which is perfect.

Instead, we appreciate and recommend the use of your second verb in regard to the use of the will. Acceptance of self, forgiveness of self, and the direction of the will; this is the path towards the disciplined personality. Your faculty of will is that which is powerful within you as co-Creator. You cannot ascribe to this faculty too much importance. Thus it must be carefully used and directed in service to others for those upon the positively oriented path.

There is great danger in the use of the will as the personality becomes stronger, for it may be used even subconsciously in ways reducing the polarity of the entity.

42.10 Questioner: How can a person know when he is unswayed by an emotionally charged situation if he is repressing the flow of emotions, or if he is in balance and truly unswayed?

Ra: I am Ra. We have spoken to this point. Therefore, we shall briefly iterate that to the balanced entity no situation has an emotional charge but is simply a situation like any other in which the entity may or may not observe an opportunity to be of service. The closer an entity comes to this attitude the closer an entity is to balance. You may note that it is not our recommendation that reactions to catalyst be repressed or suppressed unless such reactions would be a stumbling block not consonant with the Law of One to an other-self. It is far, far better to allow the experience to express itself in order that the entity may then make fuller use of this catalyst.

Quote:Ra: I am Ra. We shall begin with the first of the three teachings/learnings.

We begin with the mental learn/teaching necessary for contact with intelligent infinity. The prerequisite of mental work is the ability to retain silence of self at a steady state when required by the self. The mind must be opened like a door. The key is silence.

Within the door lies an hierarchical construction you may liken unto geography and in some ways geometry, for the hierarchy is quite regular, bearing inner relationships.

To begin to master the concept of mental disciplines it is necessary to examine the self. The polarity of your dimension must be internalized. Where you find patience within your mind you must consciously find the corresponding impatience and vice versa. Each thought a being has, has in its turn an antithesis. The disciplines of the mind involve, first of all, identifying both those things of which you approve and those things of which you disapprove within yourself, and then balancing each and every positive and negative charge with its equal. The mind contains all things. Therefore, you must discover this completeness within yourself.

I'm not sure i understand this, seems counter intuitive to me to. What does "balancing each and every positive and negative charge with its equal" means ?

I believe when they say "charge" they are talking about an emotional reaction or emotional charge as they might say. So, say you think of an idea, patience to use Ra's example. How do you feel about that concept? Is it frustrating or relieving? Does it feel like you are patient? Do you feel comfortable with being patient? Anything which evokes emotion from you will suggest that the concept has some kind of charge for you. You would then do the same with the oppose, the concept of impatience. How does that feel? Do you naturally feel that way or not?

Do you find you feel more comfortable with one idea or the other? How would you 'compare' the two together? The idea then is to balance the two by accepting them both and realizing that they are both part of you. If you have negative thoughts towards one, say impatience, like it really drives you crazy when people are impatient, you would examine those feelings and see how the charge comes up, what in the idea makes you feel that, and what in the opposite, patience in this case, feels more comfortable. Some will stop there at acceptance.

You can continue as well and work on your charge to eventually release the negative thoughts you have about the concept, ultimately thus balancing the charge because you will no longer have conflicting concepts within your mind. One way to conceptualize this process is as a process of harmonizing cognitive dissonance or making symmetrical what is asymmetrical.

This enhances the state of silence by the calming of the emotions and allowing the mind to open and balance further.

Quote:The central concept of analytical psychology is individuation—the psychological process of integrating the opposites, including the conscious with the unconscious, while still maintaining their relative autonomy. Jung considered individuation to be the central process of human development.......necessary for a person to become whole. - Wikipedia extract on Carl Jung

Quote:4.17 - If the mind knows itself then the most important aspect of healing has occurred

Quote:Most people confuse “self-knowledge” with knowledge of their conscious ego-personalities.

Anyone who has any ego-consciousness at all takes it for granted that he knows himself.
But the ego knows only its own contents, not the unconscious and its contents. ~Carl Jung, CW 10, Para 491
The fact that individual consciousness means separation and opposition is something that
man has experienced countless times in his long history. ~Carl Jung, CW 10, Para 290

It is, however, true that much of the evil in the world comes from the fact that man in general is hopelessly unconscious, as it is also true that with increasing insight we can combat this evil at its source in ourselves, in the same way that science enables us to deal effectively with injuries inflicted from without. ~Carl Jung, CW 10, Para 166
It is indeed no small matter of know of one’s guilt and one’s own evil, and there is certainly nothing to be gained by losing sight of one’s shadow.

Quote:4.17 - consciousness is the microcosm of the Law of One.
