How do you view the present moment? - Raz - 06-03-2015 I just had an Epiphany during a meditation that felt very centering. I have unconsciously had a very linear view on how reality operates from my human perspective. Past being the cause of the present effect, present being the cause of the future effect and so on... This linear view adds on mental garbage and distorts our energy flow (at least in my experience). the idea of cause and effect is very dual thinking when we in truth reside in unity... what happens if we view the present moment as causeeffect (coin style)? I for one became very present and could feel a definite higher sense of flow... I do like when things flow =) What stills the mind and opens the heart is a good place to start <3 How do you view the present moment? The cup we placed on the table 30 seconds ago, is still there when we look up (unless that cat came, and sneaked out with it ![]() And so it is with our thoughts. There is an inherent cause and effect at work when it comes to consciousness. Now, whether that is strictly linear, is a deeper question. In Buddhism, there is a Theory of Dependent Origination; in that, if you have 'something', it had to be caused by 'something else'. There is a chain of causation, in other words, which stretches back who knows how far. There are some things where the direct chain of causation might be quite short (for eg, karma accumulated in the current lifetime), other effects, pertaining to pre-incarnative limitations may go back a long long time. (Just think of those Maldekian souls that were born into 2d bodies as a form of expiation of past acts). The greatest issue with viewing the present moment, for me has been an uncentering effect. This is related to the yellow ray chakra, and an imbalance that I had for two or three decades (I'm 38 now) regards moving away from the observational centre of the self. I basically dislocate my focal point into imagined constructs of how others are functioning; rather than allowing myself to experience those things directly. It's almost like a third person experience. Not as bad as depersonalization disorder, but a sense of uncentredness. I've worked hard on addressing this issue, and, there's been a huge amount of alleviation of it's more severe effects (shyness, anxiety) in the last two years. Still a bit left to do, but definitely the trajectory is all positive! That was a bit of a tangent, but it's relevant - as it has prevented me from being 'truly present'; or as ACIM (a Course in Miracles) describes it, being able to sense, live, and experience the infinite potential of the 'Holy Instant'. RE: How do you view the present moment? - Minyatur - 06-03-2015 To me the present moment is the ever inter-balancing of a pool of energy within itself of which we are the physical manifestation. @Plenum I've always enjoyed depersonalization disorder. RE: How do you view the present moment? - VanAlioSaldo - 06-04-2015 A man's future self arrives in the past and interacts with himself. In so doing he has created a paradox loop. Only he hasnt. The future is in the present no different from the past, its the CONTINUUM that differentiates past and future. Imagine: THE MOMENT (that is Love) See that ALL THINGS ARE CONTAINED IN THE MOMENT Including Time and Space, there is Only Now. There is ONLY (truly) NOW. The past is now, the future is now. So the present is Always (isn't that literally true.). So a man in his continuum inside the moment can through Free Will and Simultaneity interact with his past self and push/pull themself along the way that leads them to coming back. Time in 3D is best seen like we read a book. At higher dimensions (3D viewing 2D) Linearity isn't needed to understand what's going on. You can skip chapters or go back. Why would it be any different for 4-6D viewing 3D? (Or maybe just 5-6D, unsure.) The mysterious nature of time is simply that Time is an illusion. There is only Now, The Moment. RE: How do you view the present moment? - Matt1 - 06-04-2015 I view the present moment through daily meditation and bringing that state of consciousness into the moment through mindfulness. RE: How do you view the present moment? - third-density-being - 06-04-2015 Hello Dear Raz, Present Moment is many things for me. It all depends on my own Focus. Sometimes it is “a flow of present moments” – many of them from my perception/understanding point of view. Sometimes it is a Chamber of/for a certain Event that is capable of expanding (i.e. an entire “waking part” of the day-night cycle - from the moment I wake up, until I go to sleep again). It is also experienced as a “flow” of Present Moment that is singular and continuous. Sometimes Present Moment is almost unbearable “clearness of here and now” that always, at some point, is leaving me with lack of answers / Knowledge. In such instances Present Moment is a “Phenomenon” which I may try to approach with my normal, waking Focus of Consciousness (Mind approach mostly) or I can try to meditate and Focus on/upon it – when I do later one, sometimes I can feel amazing depth of “present moment within Self” or “Self within present moment” – both descriptions may be found on the side of Experience/perception/comprehension. In this case word/label “flow” is not optimal in description of perception of Present Moment. I would describe it as sensation of expanding from the center outward. Each time I try to reach with my Mind/Self to the “edge” of Present Moment, I only realize how far Vaster it really is than I originally thought. At the peak of such exercise/experience You realize that Present Moment is within an entire Universe – or even that an Entire Universe may be Present Moment that is only differently perceived by different Beings (also dwelling eternally within Present Moment). Seth underlined many time that Your Point of Power is within Present Moment. It is the “Point” when/where Soul meets with the Flesh; when the continuous process of Creation actually takes place. When Soul is continuously manifesting/expressing/immersing Self within material field of actuality/objectivity – and the “physical image” of the Soul is also everchanging, even if We perceive “It”/Self as constant/solid/permanent. Therefore in/within Present Moment We can exert desired influence by redirecting Focus of the Light of Consciousness onto Thoughts/Emotions/Beliefs that for one do not contradicts each other, and are bringing desired state/condition/event/circumstances/experience/Other-Self into Conscious Focus of Every Aspect of Self.
