What is Worship? - AnthroHeart - 03-30-2015 I feel it's ok to worship Creator. Is it giving praise, or more than that? Can I worship angels or those of my social memory complex? RE: What is Worship? - Raz - 03-30-2015 What ever makes you feel good my friend RE: What is Worship? - AnthroHeart - 03-30-2015 Creator has you exactly where he wants you. RE: What is Worship? - APeacefulWarrior - 03-31-2015 As I see it, ANY time a being recognizes the wonders in the world around them and loves the Creator for it, that is a form of worship. The Creator wouldn't care what name or face or "Gods" we attribute to it - those are just more forms through which the Creator can be seen and experienced. Even on the darker paths, I think this would be correct. Someone who worships Shiva-as-Destroyer is still worshipping an aspect of the Creator and Creation. There's really no wrong way to worship, I think. All such paths lead an entity closer to the Creator and ultimate reunification. RE: What is Worship? - lovecast - 03-31-2015 Worship is a way of honoring the ONE which we ALL are. Worship = Worth-ship; that is counting the illusional "other" as Worthy of our honor. Therefore, when we worship it is actually ourselves we are honoring (but not the illusional separate self of 3D here/now), but rather it is the illusional higher self of densities above/apart from the illusional 3D time/space we move in & through in the now/here. It is a way of showing gratitude for the experience of the illusional sensation of being separate (illusional not-one) with the ONE. Worship is not mandatory, but optional, if the individuated-one experiencing the now/here feels moved to expand that feeling to encompass/enfold/embrace more of the now/here than is usually experienced by the illusional separate self from the ONE-in-ALL/ALL-in-ONE reality. So worship can be a wonderful tool to utilize in our playing out this experience of the here/now to expand the feeling of awe & gratitude felt in the heart to raise us to heights unlimited (usually unattainable apart from worship). RE: What is Worship? - APeacefulWarrior - 03-31-2015 One thing I try to do - in my limited way - is inviting the Creator to share in experiences with me. Even just everyday things. If I'm having a good meal and feeling glad for it, I'll open myself up, give thanks to the Creator, and invite it to share in the yumminess through me. I dunno what it's actually getting out of this, but the "offering" seems to be accepted and enjoyed. Sometimes I think merely appreciating the Creator may be one of the highest forms of worship. RE: What is Worship? - AngelofDeath - 03-31-2015 Worship is what happens when love takes you.
