RE: The mysterious nature of time - AnthroHeart - 10-04-2012 I do MIS, pulling data and reports for the business. I noticed Bill Nye in there. Have you ever seen Mr. Wizard? It was a science show that came on when I was a kid. I enjoyed it. RE: The mysterious nature of time - Confused - 10-05-2012 GW, I get it now. You were referring to an individual in the video, who is a famous person called Bill Nye ![]() RE: The mysterious nature of time - Cyan - 10-05-2012 I need those button earphone things so i can listen to kick ass nerds talk about kick ass things in school....=D RE: The mysterious nature of time - Confused - 10-05-2012 (10-05-2012, 02:48 AM)Cyan Wrote: I need those button earphone things so i can listen to kick ass nerds talk about kick ass things in school....=D yeah, those videos from the YouTube channel called Melodysheep (I think) are really good. The previous one I posted in the last page on Evolution was wonderful, in my opinion. I am glad you liked it ![]() RE: The mysterious nature of time - Confused - 10-05-2012 Scientists Now Know: We're Not From Here! And how he brings some good reminders about manifesting. RE: The mysterious nature of time - Confused - 10-07-2012 (10-07-2012, 03:09 PM)Gemini Wolf Wrote: Law of Attraction basic wisdom. GW, thanks for posting these excellent videos. From the first video, I liked the concept of managing our own relationship with our desires. Especially, minding one's own business! The second video was extremely powerful. The reminder that the power of thoughts is an immutable law made for both reassuring and frightening contemplation. Once the thought is released, the universe and its principles take over! I think it explains why we create a lot of misery on this little blue planet of ours. Love is the needed thought of the hour -- pure, pristine and unconditional love! To a beautiful present and future, then, my friend ![]() RE: The mysterious nature of time - AnthroHeart - 10-07-2012 I've been working to manifest some pretty challenging things. If they do manifest, I'll be very impressed. Of course, I focus on my desire with great love. RE: The mysterious nature of time - Cyan - 10-07-2012 (10-07-2012, 03:09 PM)Gemini Wolf Wrote: Law of Attraction basic wisdom. Law of attraction sounds a lot like "you get wha tyou put out, if you put out wanting, you get wanting" and The other one sounds like a lot like someone trying to tell you that the best idea for you to do is to focus on what the idea of "what do you want" So, if the first one is true, the second one should give you a world view where everyone around you is filled with an increasing amount of wants because thats the energy you put out, leading to what is a single point of infinite want? Law of attraction video is good though ![]() RE: The mysterious nature of time - AnthroHeart - 10-07-2012 Good point on if you put out wanting you get more wanting. Best to focus on if you already have it. Or just leave it alone and let the Universe do its work. Best to focus on if you already have it. Or just leave it alone and let the Universe do its work. I think you two have hit on something important here. And GW, I believe you have expressed it very simply and beautifully! Instead of putting out "wanting" I try (consciously and with intention) to put out gratitude/thankfulness. Then, as GW said, I sit back and let the Universe do it's work. I like this author's idea of making a specific time each day to practice gratitude: http://www.boldcafe.org/blog/post I confess, I don't set a specific daily time. Instead, I try to just have a grateful spirit all the time. I AM GRATEFUL! RE: The mysterious nature of time - AnthroHeart - 10-08-2012 Thanks Ruth. I've been finding lots of videos on youtube about gratitude. Thanks for the reminder. It was something I was missing. I'm also thankful for not yet having everything I desire because it gives me something to look forward to. RE: The mysterious nature of time - Confused - 10-09-2012 RE: The mysterious nature of time - Confused - 10-09-2012 RE: The mysterious nature of time - Confused - 10-09-2012 RE: The mysterious nature of time - Meerie - 10-09-2012 Confused I don't know if you saw, but we have been having very intellectual discussions in treehouse lately ![]() also about time. Copying this here: "Yeah it reminded me how after my awakening I experienced strange time phenomena as well. This may be due to a predominance of right brain (in my view time and linearity are more connected with left brain activity) So when divine bliss takes over time or our perception of it changes." RE: The mysterious nature of time - Confused - 10-09-2012 (10-09-2012, 08:41 AM)Meerie Wrote: Confused I don't know if you saw, but we have been having very intellectual discussions in treehouse lately Vous me taquiner?! :p (10-09-2012, 08:41 AM)Meerie Wrote: So when divine bliss takes over time or our perception of it changes." Actually, Meerie, that is not very difficult to understand at all. When a man talks to a beautiful woman by whom he is smitten, time really slows down. Three hours may seem like just three seconds while the interaction is going on. However, even three nanoseconds of one's hand on a hot stove feels like eternity! :p See, it is very commonsensical. Probably, all of spirituality and enlightenment is like that. Very commonsensical and simple! But we do not want it that way, do we? ![]() RE: The mysterious nature of time - AnthroHeart - 10-09-2012 Confused, earlier today I had an experience of no desire for a few moments. Have you ever experienced that, where you feel everything is ok. It's profoundly different from a typical knowing that everything is ok. I have touched on this concept before, but didn't pursue it because I didn't feel anyone here would really understand it. But I believe that you are right on the money. Spirit/LOVE really is very simple, and we only make it complex to keep ourselves busy. |
