Yes! I've found that the individual's own interpretation is usually the most accurate, although it does sometimes help to discover the "traditional" meaning of certain symbols.
As for the dolphins . . . yes, I believe I have had a connection to them. Not sure if in past life, or just in this one. I have had a couple of real life encounters - physical encounters - one in which a dolphin actually took me to shore when I was trapped on a sand bar, the tide was coming in, and there were sharks in the water between me an the shore. I was 9 or 10 at the time. Since then, I have had several very realistic dreams of being a dolphin - or maybe of sharing a spirit with one - and experiencing what it feels like to communicate, swim, jump etc.
And as for the book by Elisabeth - oh dear - I've just ordered a couple of them. Thanks for the recommendation. Interestingly, just this morning during meditation, I selected the name Elizabeth for a character in a book I am writing.

Well, I've been having a lot of dreams for the past three weeks.
I had one disturbing one last night. I was dreaming that I saw a large pulsating vein on my forehead that I hadn't noticed before. I looked at it closer and realized it was a large worm probably as thick as a triple aaa battery that was as lengthy as a pencil. I tried hold it with my fingers from the outside but to my horror it felt me attempting to hold it in place and it slithered back into my skull through my ear. There was no pain.
I believe this is related to my lifelong struggle with body dismorphic disorder/ lack of self love. I've been much better about it and only get depressed once a month (as opposed to weekly a few years ago, or daily about a decade ago) but it's pretty stubborn. The only thing else that I changed up is I've been playing with having a quartz pyramid underneath me for thirty minutes and setting up quartz stars on a quartz crystal cluster that I programmed to help me contact my higher self. (a cluster that my roommate calls the "dream catcher" b/c when I put it by his bedside he has crazy dreams and now he wants a cluster as well).
I believe the parasite is my bdd beliefs and it represents that it is deep into my subconscious...I am just wondering if there is a message that I did not already know :/.
Edit: I suppose it's also possible that the dream is a message that there is a newer unwanted thought form on me (because I did a lot of energy work with other healers three months ago who said I did not appear to have any then, except for a small one probably through working in such close contact with drug addicts...but who knows I don't claim to know anything really about this field)...not sure how to figure that stuff out for myself...since my energy/mood has always been up and down. I have been volunteering at the homeless shelter every week and you do see addicts... The answer probably still lies within me rather than "cleaning" an unwanted thought form, because we are all one, so if it is a thought form it is on me because of some imbalance, and that leads me back to bdd haha.

I had a dream were there were dolphins living with humans. There were 'doors' between the water and air. It was like the water was against a force field and you could just jump through it into water. The air portion was under the sea a bit. I was swimming and communicating with them and it was like living with brothers. Very vivid dream I had this afternoon...
Edit: @ruth I was also stunned to see the dolphin post after my dream. Crazy stuff...

Once a week I am having sex with a Lyrean. The whole experience is becoming more conscious and enjoyable. So defined that there is even 'smell'. I had been writing down the name of a female that I could not remember after waking. This time I remember.
After a little deeper investigation she is currently incarnated in another system, and is "unconsciously" visiting me in an inner astral plane. The different system may explain why we link up once a week instead of every night. She is 4D. Her higher self is my wifes higher self. (now my wife can't get jealous
) I can't wait to learn/remember more!

I just remembered a dream I had a couple nights ago. I had a sensation of something slithering around in my intestines. From there it climbed up into my stomach and coiled there before climbing up through my esophagus and nasal cavity up into my skull cavity where it once again coiled up before slithering back down and out of my mouth at which point I could see it was a bright green snake!

The other night i had a dream of great significance, but as for pinning down the exact meaning of the dream... well im still not totally sure.
I was walking through a caravan site ( The same one where i spent my summers as a youth) with my two younger cousins. We are walking around the caravan site when In front of me a Crow/Raven swoops down and turns into cloaked man. The cloaked man is directly in front of my younger cousin and i sense his intentions where to harm my cousin. I run over knocking the cloaked man to the ground. The cloaked man is old looking and his face looks strange almost non human. I see he is carrying a dagger and a larger sword which are both mystically decorated with engravings and such. (Thing Lord of the rings Legolas' swords) I take both the dagger and sword. As i'm leaving now with a person whom i do not see a girl asks me where i got the swords? i tell her that i found them and my intention is to sell them. The girl ask's again where did you get them and i said over there where a caravan used to sit. She then turns to the man who is with me and says you shouldn't of gone near there not after what happaned before. I then remember there was some tragedy connected with the caravan that used to be on that particular lot. She does mention the caravan number but i cannont recall if it was 136 or 316?
Any thoughts i have my own but won't taint your views...[/align]

I had a dream yesterday that reminded me of something I needed to work out in myself.
I was in a classroom, in the back of the room like always. This arrogant-looking guy and his lackeys start to loom over an unexpecting classmate, and starts to harass him, prodding and provoking him.
Nobody stands up to him, and I'm frankly more interested in observing others, and seeing how this plays out. I'm just aware, in case this gets out of hand.
The leader of the posse makes his way around, picking on the next timid guy. After several times noticing my observation of him, he plops down in the chair in front of me, with a condescending look that says, 'and look at this guy.'
End of dream. It made me very aware that I still have a part of me that would rather engage negativity than choose the harmonious path. After waking up, I felt like I was ready to brawl.
I guess I still feel like I have to take up a fight, because I have to show myself that I value... myself? I don't know if that makes sense.

Had some weird dreams this morning after my alarm clock woke me up. I decided to stay in bed for a bit and kept dozing off for 10 minutes and each time had a dream.
The first that I can remember involved a badminton game at a family reunion type gathering. There weren't enough racquets to go around so I volunteered to sit it out and watched from the sidelines with a small group of people. The only person I can remember was this old woman with milky blue eyes. At one point this huge raven (like the size of a dog) swooped down into the middle of our little crowd watching the game causing everyone to kind of panic . . . except the old lady who seemed completely unfazed. The Raven perched at her feet and nestled up against her legs.
The next one I remember started in a place I see a lot in my dreams, this tall, narrow apartment tower with no other buildings around it, which always seems to be where I live in my dreams. I head outside because I am running late for my history class, but then I realize that I am wearing my pajamas so I go back in to change. A woman holds the door open for me which is lucky because I left my my keys my other pants. The woman said something to me in really broken French which I didn't really understand, but I got my pants on and ran to my class which was taking place in the park next to the apartment tower. When I got there I found that my teacher had been replaced by Winston Churchill, although she was still there . . . and it was that old lady again. I apologized for being late and Sir Winston said it was not a problem and handed me an exam which had one question: "How do you feel about me replacing your old teacher?" Instead of writing down an answer I grabbed a pancake someone was cooking on a camping grill and in my best Adam Sandler voice started going on about how "Crazy Half-Cooked Pancake Man" was very upset about this change, which made the old lady laugh a lot.
These are the most detailed dreams I've remembered in ages, I wonder who that old lady was?

I just had an awesome dream
. As I said I've basically been having interesting dreams each night (the other night had one about having a sword that was somehow related to a dragon, used it reluctantly against a burglar, in the middle of the fight a dragon landed outside the dorm I was living in with my mentor on top of the dragon, and got on the dragon and we fly off haha).But I just had the most incredible dream.
In the dream, I'm in India (I've visited maybe about 24 times because I have a lot of family there and my parents took me every year till I was 18, then a few times afterward). I have an interesting night chatting with my family members one night, including my uncle, enough that I told a cousin my age the next day about a conversation I had. I told him about something my uncle said -it was a novel position on some business/political issue (which is they all discuss). However, as the day continues in the dream, I randomly see a (white) girl who visits India often as well and I think I definitely need to ask her out. Then after that, I think about my uncle more and I realize that my uncle died five years ago, and that therefore this MUST be a dream! I go back to my cousin in the dream and tell him my belief that this is a dream. He is skeptical. I then start levitating to prove it to him. He's like oh s*** what are you going to do. I tell him I'm going to meet my higher self.
I figured I wanted to go high above Earth's atmosphere and I could him my higher self there. I started to levitate more and more. What was interesting is that as I believed in myself's ability to fly, I would take off. If I started to doubt I could go higher, I started to drop like a rock. It felt like my desire let me fly, and if I let my desire waiver with doubt, I would start to sink. I figured this out with a curvey flight of soaring up and then dipping a few feet down with doubt for about first few hundred feet, then I figured it out and just soared high up in the sky.
I went into the clouds, then past the clouds, but instead of space the sky dissolved into purple horizontal wavey energy lines, and then they formed into an purple energy face. I called out for my higher self. The face moved but did not respond. I asked if it was my higher self, then before getting a response I asked for a solution to my bdd/self love issues (which interestingly enough, though I mention it on the forum often enough, I only recently have been asking for guidance on spiritually...I think I had some ego issues accept/asking for help
). The face materialized crystal clear. It seemed to be a male face. The face lacked a full head of hair - it had hair at the sides, and at the middle top of the head. The hair was in a short ponytail on the top portion. I can't recall, but vaguely the hair reminded me of looking like plants/leaves. What was interesting what was was on the face, on the lower right side (when facing, the lower left of the face), near the lower cheek, was a tatoo [-1-|-2-3] I'm fairly sure it was very close to that.On the neck on the right and left sides, there was some sort of rectangular tatoo that looked like rectangle with lines dividing it into other rectangles in a symmetrical fashion.
The next thing I remember, I'm back down on Earth at a family get together. I keep telling everything this is a dream. My father is there and much like in real life, he tells me to simmer down and talk normal and that no one wants to hear talk like that. Something also happens - there is also some disagreement between family members and they get angry at each other like usual and I try to bring about peace and love. He tells me I should be quiet and to not get involved. I tear up as I tell him and one other member who is there that we always talk politics and how the world is going to hell, but it's the same disagreements among people that causes war among princes (to paraphrase a famous medieval quotation).
I then wake up. Awesome dream! I don't know if it was my higher self, but I'm thrilled that my dreams are lucid enough to become a more active part of my seeking!

I had a dream where I, as a female, was courted by many different men, although all these men knew each other. In that dream I appreciated all the efforts that these men made, but also knew that each will get what each wants in proper time.
When I woke up, there was an understanding that this dream was of an Archetypical nature. It was showing me that I am courting the unconsious mind in a somewhat proper way right now, and that "she" appeciates it, although all different portions of my conscious mind have right now a tendency to "over-court" her.

Hey, Nithin......which part of India is your ancestral home? Sounds like you have a lot of contacts there.
May I suggest, that you explore the possibility of something....give us about 5 years of lead time (most of us are poor, and will have to save up), but look into arranging for a bunch of us to go with you to an Ashram for a yoga-and-meditation retreat. That would be such a wonderful experience for you and me and Ankh and Lynn et al to spend some time at an Ashram. Way up in the northern mountains preferably, if your connections are in that part of India.

I had a dream of another planet. It was 3D and the surface was red and rocky with some oceans, the air was lighter, the planet was a bit smaller than earth, and the people there were highly advanced socially.
On the planet I was a warrior and fighting these scorpion-like creatures. My laser found a red dot on their forehead and I held it focused on the dot. The creature than transformed into one of us. I was so angry that now that it was in the form of us I killed it while it was susceptible to attack and all my fellow warriors looked on in disbelief.
I also had a younger brother (I don't have one in this life) and we hung out a lot and rode "bikes" together. These bikes were amphibious and could fly (with enough strength) and went at incredible speeds due to gravity and air pressure. We could go over mountains in mere seconds with these and all by pedaling.
I once saw my brother in a sport game playing with other people and I saw an old man cop a feel on him. I then, at the next community meeting, proceeded to take my anger out on the old man and almost killed him. My brother was very imbarrassed and tried to stop me.

What's strange about the whole dream/memory is that I have next to no issue with anger. Also when consulting with my higher self he showed me it was a previous incarnation on another world.

I cannot describe my dream. I was in 3 or 4 different places at once. I felt confusion as to how a week of time had vanished. In each "position" I had some sort of UFO experience. The only time I was in a single position everything had a rainbow "dispersion" effect when I looked at it too long.
