RE: Change of plans - Jade - 09-20-2016 Thanks for asking!!! Sweet Jupy (for whatever reason, this is her name now) has grown into a loving, patient, gentle, sweet, gracious dog. We just got back from a camping trip where she spent almost the entire time off leash - heaven for a dog, to be sure. We never thought it would be possible since she came to us with such a high prey drive. But she has mellowed into a gentle beast. Here are some pictures of her from our recent trip: Jupy posing with her toy: Taking a nap curled up in the grass: Action shot: She loves to throw her toys for herself and chase them. Even better when she can battle the trees/sticks/shrubs for repossession!!! Jupy quite patiently watching as the "robber jays" come steal dog food to cache: One last shot of Judy relaxing as the sun sets: RE: Change of plans - YinYang - 09-20-2016 Those eyes! They are gorgeous creatures, these Huskies! Have you seen the movie Eight Below? You need lots of tissues for that one! RE: Change of plans - Jade - 09-20-2016 I haven't!!! I'll add it to the list!! And if you really wanna ball your eyes out, watch Hachi: A Dog's Tale, also a true story. This dog... looks so much like her sometimes. Her temperament is the same, her face and eyes are very much the same. Her coat looks like Dexter's when she was a puppy. But really it's her face, her size and stature, and her bearing. We keep doing double takes and giving each other weird looks because it's like the ghost of Dexter past. And then when she opens her eyes, it's extra shocking because they are so blue (Dexter's were brown). According to dead Erik (incredible, complex, insightful website + two books) http://channelingerik.com/ pets return to families in the bodies of other pets. You just have to be open to it. And I think Dexter has probably returned. . . . RE: Change of plans - Wetsun202 - 09-21-2016 Oh, she's precious. Thanks so much for the pictures. I bet camping was wonderful. So, what a out the young girl who was her previous owner. Is she still coming by to see Jupy? |
