On seeing auras, "focusing/defocusing" your eyes is more sort of just confusing your system, not really opening you up to energies lol. That being said, retraining the cones and rods of the eye does help, there is a physiological component.
Also, it's probably worth being aware of the phenomenon of phosphenes so it and auras don't get mixed up. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phosphene

My theory so far is the phosphenes create a backdrop or canvas of geometrical mesh which the visual stimuli is translated onto from the mind. The focusing/de-focusing is not just physiological the same thing happens with mind. It's basically meditation, focus to sharply and all you see are phosphenes spinning, unfocus to much and the image is to chaotic and broad, in the middle I get a synthesis of the narrow and broad view which seem to be the perfect perspective for images to form using the phosphene overlay and current input of mind at the time.

hmm I don't know about that man, interesting about the "backdrop" or "mesh" idea, as a young kid I didn't know what phosphenes were and told people I saw a big grid of lights behind everything I saw, and that things were visually made up from these lights. I thought I was seeing atoms lol.
Another anecdote for the thread's sake, someone once absolutely freaked out and told me they could see blue "electricity" firing from my hands and forehead. They were kinda into spiritual stuff but this seemed to shake 'em a bit, in a good way of course lol.

After reading this and resonating with it I changed mine with the intent to change it to Transformer. Then I remembered I had seen it somewhere and remembered it being you. I thought it was intriguing that you then seemed interested in the article.
