RE: Intense energies and DNA changes - kycahi - 05-23-2011 (05-23-2011, 07:29 AM)3DMonkey Wrote: What does meditation do? Is it not simply a relaxation technique? I was oversold meditation when I first got involved in a group decades ago, so I don't want to do it now. It does a lot of things, one of which is stress relief. I remember reading something like, if prayer is asking something from God, then meditation is preparing to get the answer. I like thinking of it as tuning a receiver to remove noisy interference so that weak signals can get through. That's a little better, but still lacks. When I do it on a regular basis my thinking seems clearer and good decisions come more readily. As I posted somewhere a while back, my university Physics professor said to use it to prepare for final exams. His name was Elkins and, although I didn't do that until two years later, it really worked. It wasn't that answers popped into my head during the exams, but while studying items sort of stood out as worth remembering. If sleepiness is a problem, try meditating with eyes open, staring at something slightly interesting but not distractful. At first don't spend much time at it--ten minutes or so will get your systems used to the idea until going longer feels right. After awhile, 20 minutes or so will be easy and sometimes 40 will go by without any "effort." As you settle yourself to begin, think little messages to your body, like "Be patient, trust me this will be good." Don't expect to notice anything while attempting, or anything different afterwards. You will eventually, but expecting something is an exercise in frustration. Just know that trying to meditate is meditation. I notice you've been reading a lot of Q'uo lately 3DM, take a gander at this session. It's got some good general info on meditation, even what we're discussing here, the difference between sleep and meditation: http://www.llresearch.org/transcripts/issues/2009/2009_0208_02.aspx Quote:...However, meditation is much more than entering the silence, for there can be a silence of mind which simply indicates boredom. Silences within the space/time world may not offer anything except a quick exit into sleep. However, silence is a key that opens the door into time/space. Silence is the transit between the world of the mind and the world of consciousness. Now, that's not to say that some great spiritual work can't be done in sleep. But even with lucid dreams, your will struggles to find a direction. The key to good meditation is strong will and strong focus. These things combined will propel you into spirit and open doorways within yourself. Quote:Lol, honestly, I can fall asleep sitting up. Actually, I can too. But not laying on my back for some reason! The only problem I have meditating laying on my back is I'll unconsciously turn onto my side and drift to sleep. RE: Intense energies and DNA changes - 3DMonkey - 05-23-2011 So, would you say meditation is going into the depths of the conscious mind? I can see this as meditation, but I don't see the yoga position and a quiet lace necessary to do this. Perhaps I will find these answers in the Q'uo material you linked. I will read it. Aha! Okay. So I've been meditating all my life basically. In all honesty, all bring4th members have, IMO. Anyone who seeks this stuff is seeking within. Seeking the archetypical mind is what I've been doing since I was 17 and a light went off in me that said I am director of my mind. I don't call it meditation. I call it contemplation on what is. To know your mind. To seek your mind. To be with your mind. Damn! When am I NOT meditating?! Seriously. I love archetypes! I meditate constantly. I'm that "weird guy who is always 'lost' in thought" and creeps them out when I ask them what they are thinking. RE: Intense energies and DNA changes - Bring4th_Austin - 05-23-2011 Yes, it sounds like you are always meditating! But, again to be nitpicky, Q'uo in that session points out the difference between silent meditation and contemplative meditation. I think a balance between the two is the best formula for knowing one's self. Plus, we can look at the science behind silent or mantra meditation. Lowering your brain frequency to alpha, theta, or even delta waves, allows you to enter a state in which the neural pathways in your brain can "rewire" themselves, ultimately creating more pathways between the two sides of the brain. Supposedly, having these pathways allows us to process things in a fuller sense. And deeper, more frequent meditation will allow us to function in our everyday lives in a more balanced meditative state. But I need to do what works, and I think my methods are achieving the same thing. Thank you for steering me to an understanding of the definition. For sure. Note: I ride skateboard "goofy foot", I shoot pool "backwards", and I like to read the end of a book before I enjoy the beginning. So, you should know who you are working with LOL RE: Intense energies and DNA changes - Oceania - 05-23-2011 i always contemplate in a sort of hazy state, but that's autism. I'm all ears RE: Intense energies and DNA changes - Oceania - 05-23-2011 i mean to me autism is me being distant from others in a way because i'm always inn a contemplative hazy state. others seem to be in a different time zone. RE: Intense energies and DNA changes - AnthroHeart - 05-30-2011 I don't really meditate much anymore. I tend to be pretty energized. I spend a lot of my time trying to remove blockages, which takes a focus. RE: Intense energies and DNA changes - Oceania - 05-31-2011 i've never grasped meditation. can we have one definition of it? RE: Intense energies and DNA changes - NegaNova - 05-31-2011 I've noticed crazy Northern Lights for the past few days actually! Synchronous timing. That's it. RE: Intense energies and DNA changes - Unbound - 05-31-2011 E.g., everything you consciously engage in Most notable being the conscious focus. RE: Intense energies and DNA changes - Meerie - 06-01-2011 I sometimes during the day try to focus consciously on the present moment. When I do this I percieve what seems to be layers and layers, that continue infinitely and of course I am not able to penetrate them all. It makes me dizzy in the head. I wish I could, someday. I'm not sure if it's the Field pushing more, or the 4d energies. But I constantly feel them pushing against my heart and solar plexus chakras.I'm going to sound like a broken parrot here (mm-sorry), but it sounds like, at least Gemini and Ankh (? - I can't do two quotes yet ... newbie) anyway, it sounds to me like you two are experiencing kundalini activity. Have you considered that? It's been over a month and this thread evolved into a meditation discussion but how do you feel now? Rising kundalini symptoms are so varied and nebulous for the most part that it's hard to know sometimes what's what. It can take years to be able to identify what's happening as That. Just curious what's going on with you guys now ... hope you see this! love. RE: Intense energies and DNA changes - BrownEye - 07-23-2011 I have had a couple of bursts of energy, or what I call energy gifts, that identified as kundalini and evolved my DNA a little bit. It made my brain go into hyperdrive, but I found that I was able to misinterpret things slightly if I did not double check the info that came into my head. So now I am in the habit of having a group of people double check any info that blows through my head. RE: Intense energies and DNA changes - 3DMonkey - 07-23-2011 You seem very much into this group RE: Intense energies and DNA changes - Amara - 07-23-2011 (07-23-2011, 10:10 AM)Pickle Wrote: I have had a couple of bursts of energy, or what I call energy gifts, that identified as kundalini and evolved my DNA a little bit.Interesting ... well, I guess then that this forum comes in handy! I've heard a few people post now that they've experienced a change to their dna .. I never considered that I'd be sensitive to when this was happening ... what's up with that? How would I know if I was getting an upgrade? I'm def. attuned to the flow of k. energy in my body and the different qualities of each chakra, but wow ... dna shifts ... I'd love to know more! RE: Intense energies and DNA changes - BrownEye - 07-23-2011 I assume you could ask one of your subtle bodies what happened right afterwards. I ask the lesser soul myself. I ask where the message came from and if I interpreted correctly. My first experience caused about 3 days of head pain, and I saw the societal system as a cage structure. It took a couple weeks for my heightened view to fade away. Since then I have come across one other person that saw this same "structure" to society. Reich mentioned this in a solo self recording he did. It was exactly what I became aware of with my first experience. RE: Intense energies and DNA changes - AnthroHeart - 07-23-2011 I think it's more than kundalini (as that comes through the root), and Creator's energy comes through the crown, and they meet in the middle at the heart. Also a lot of green ray activity as I've learned to surrender to the incoming energy. I put myself at a density/vibration that challenges me a little bit. There's still a sense of peace, but my body goes through a lot of sensations. Kundalini was energy coming up and changing my DNA while the energy into my head was more of a "gift" from the creator. (didn't ask if that changed my DNA aso) RE: Intense energies and DNA changes - Amara - 07-26-2011 Okay ... I'm hearin' you guys ... this is exactly the conversation I hoped to have ... thanks. Been focusing most of my attention on the upward movement ... untie-ing the knots, clearing the way. My initial spontaneous activation came in 92 ... it wasn't until years later I realized what had happened. In '97 is when I really started to wake up ... flipped my whole life around ... just nothing in my life made sense. It wasn't my life ... changed my name, everything. I just wasn't the person who had created this weird life. And the big thing energetically there was my heart opened. Exploded, actually. I remember this burning desire to hug everybody! If I didn't give this energy away I was gonna loose my mind ... so I'd just hug everyone (I was somewhat selective, of course! Part of a lovely community.) ... . I remember I'd look down expecting to see what was coming out -- or wondered at how others couldn't see/feel it consciously! Anyway ... it's been working me ever since in one way or another I've actually done meditations bringing down cosmic energy, but I think I would have a different take now. I think I'll work on that and report back. Makes sense. Maybe it would be more an allowing/noticing thing. It feels weird to think about manipulating the downward energy, where as the upward energy, it's like it's mine and I can move it where/how I want, even tho it obvously has its own intelligence. Playiing with the downward would be kind of like telling God what to do! Idunno. It will be fun just to watch it. I have noticed that in circulating it, it wants to do the Macrocosmic orbit, all the way down to my feet, rather than just a the root. That's been interesting. I dig what you're saying, Pickle about getting hit with the realizations about this planet. Things we're so indoctrinated into, then all of a sudden don't make sense ... I played golf in my other life, for goodness sake! eeesh (sorry if you like golf, but it was NOT me!) .... And Gemini, as a wanderer, I can really relate to jumping in with both feet, taking on as much as we possibly can, then looking around and going, 'uh-oh'. That's so my MO! I never related to the 'I want to go hooooommmmme' thing that seems to be what many wanderers go through .... Feels like I've done this enough to realize that's just torturing myself ... but I CAN relate to biting off more than I can chew! It's getting less and less the older I get, tho. I think I'm learning that lesson! But, the only time I've held back on the energy was when I really did think I would loose my mind .. literally. I asked for a Sat Guru's intervention, and she gave it to me. Smooth sailing since. Eeeesh ... long one again ... oh well ... offered in love. RE: Intense energies and DNA changes - Gribbons - 07-26-2011 I feel my DNA is changing slightly over time too. Metal is shocking me more frequently. A couple weeks ago, the bottom part of my spine had a strange feeling, like it was sucked into nothingness then came back with a shock, it kind of hurt for a split second (my back sank down as it happened) then yesterday the same feeling happened at the tip of my left thumb. I'm not getting injured or anything, just random occurrences of a semi-sharp pain for a split-second. I kind of relate that to Ra saying transitions come with minor inconveniences. RE: Intense energies and DNA changes - SomaticDreams - 07-26-2011 I too have had many strong sensations coming through the 'crown chakra', or to relate it anatomically, the crown of my head. It manifests as an intense pressure, which feels as if it is moving both in and out of my body (simultaneously). I have had these experiences after reading material and other channels (such as bashar) and laying down to sleep. I have had a few during the day with this type of experience. I do have slight ticks, twitches, and other strange occurrences during the day, but I don't know if I should attribute them to the electrical body or the physical. They manifest as 'touches' upon the skin, and the feeling of bugs crawling over me. I usually look now when the sensation occurs and nothing is there, yet I still feel it. It's pretty interesting to notice. The first experience I described however is most certainty from the energy body. Very intense, and very profound. Thank you all for sharing your experiences, it helps validate mine. RE: Intense energies and DNA changes - jan45 - 10-24-2011 Now, this is quite interesting. I have always thought that with a full moon, my heart would palpitate and cause my chest to feel strange. I didn't know if there was a relation to this or not. But, I know that this would cause a change in the earth's balance. As I read some of your posts on the things you are feeling with the changing of our world, I am encouraged that I really do notice the changes. I know that I do have a lot of stress being involved with international arbitration. But, I have had these sensations even before I started a job. I always attributed them to oversensitive nerve endings, or the body releasing excess energy and thus producing these sensations of light touch or itches on the skin.
